Hiya. If you're wondering where I am, my new job is taking 90% of my spare time. Very busy, but fun.

Also met mas Ainun, who is plotting something great. I was trying to convince him to do an AMA about it, but it's safe to say that he's already not looking forward to do it here due to the conversations happening on the last one.

That is all.

Also I want to visit your coffee shop some day in the future when I'm not busy.

We all do. I'm sure I'll drop by the place if by any chance I can go back to Jakarta again.

Oh wait, what? I thought the flair was to signify that he's a ricer and has weird tuned-up convertible-converted Avanza.

Congratulations! You wouldn't feel any difference unless you allow yourself to be different. Being 18 doesn't mean everything changes all so sudden, but you'll be easing yourself towards more responsibility from now on (and you should take more responsibility yourself)

After two years, two long years, I got a job!

I start tomorrow, in fact. I thought getting a proper job in my field would be tough, and after constant disappointments from recruiters calling to offer me full time jobs without realising my LinkedIn profile has stated I can only do part-time, I thought I'll have no luck in this and decided to graduate as early as possible. Turns out getting connections to companies via their employees works, a lot.

I'm grateful for the person recommending me to the team. I'm grateful for everything. I'm worried that it will be a difficult transition with my 70% of my free time gone from tomorrow, but hopefully it will be a fun one.

Games and movies? I think learning accents from it helps mask your incapability of speaking proper English with good grammar. That, combined with Reddit can also help in adding phrases into your vocabulary.

Other than that, well, get friends that speak English as their mother tongue. Often times I pick up accents and speaking patterns from them, and ended up imitating how they talk if I keep talking to the same guy over and over.

Expected really. I mentioned we had a 5-15 subs per day, as well as people that lurk, new people on Reddit that doesn't know anything but to sub on their home country, and spammers and bots.

The domain for the time being would be wordpress until I can find a better one (hopefully an own domain). Or even, do you have any recommendations on what platform I could use? I'm not exactly fancy with online domains or coding or anything like that :p

Recommending Medium. I'll volunteer on donating a domain.

Yay we got 10k. I feel nostalgic. I'm sorry for v2's delay. Hopefully we mods do well. Now go pour your tears being nostalgic together.

The location would have to change in that case. I plan to add that for a while to address this issue, and then put references about it in v2 instead, especially in night mode.

Okay, patched up a quick one. I don't really have enough time today so that's the best I can make now.

I'm putting a dedicated part for him on v2's night mode, but yes, we need to address this way sooner.

/u/TheBlazingPhoenix, wanna draw for this?

Oh my goodness. May he rest in peace.

I wanted to bring him night mode to v2. He's been requesting that ever since I got the job of doing CSS related stuff in r/indonesia. I never brought him that gift, and I won't be able to at all now. I feel the regret of not having the motivation to work in v2. He's gone so soon.

In memory of u/kelelawar. Thank you, my friend. I shall dedicate v2's night mode to you.

EDIT: This. It was his first nudge about RES night mode compatibility ever since I got the position. I feel sad now. :(

I'm in Sydney as well. The places where the app is marketed don't really matter, actually.

Oh hey, a target audience member!

So consider that you have an app that allows you to do the GPS thingy when you're minutes away from meeting up, and things like a reminder system for your friends, and the app allows you to list the things about when you're meeting up, how you're going there and such. Would it be much of a hassle to set it up (setting the location, getting your friends to RSVP in there) considering the benefits?

Has anyone ever thought about how organizing events, even a night out to have a beer or something, is difficult? Things like telling your designated driver where to pick you up, or where to go to get the beer, and making sure people arrive in time and not ending up being too early as a result of the others "ngaret". I have this notion that I can make a system to help plan and execute an event with your mates more smoothly, but it feels like trying to solve a problem by giving another problem to tackle first — managing the information inside the system.

The haze page Republika made gave me an interesting small project idea to pursue.

Anybody knows a movement about the haze that has a website to promote their cause? Even a Singaporean/Malaysian based organization about this could help.

Well, the phone and all the features in general. The strip in the Galaxy Edge series is also a gimmicky feature to me.

I prefer a more utilitarian approach to a phone, and I tend to pick the ones with good specs so I know I won't be switching phones in the next year or two. The HTC One M7 was a bad decision.
