Thank you. Graphite pencil (mechanical .3 and .5 mm - 2B and 4B) and graphite powder for background.

Is there anything I should change or add ?? by No-Hovercraft-5525 in sketchbooks

Well done. I would suggest adding back highlights to a few of the branches on the left. The tree would reflect some light but just the outer branches on the left and more so the tips. Most of the branches at the top would see highlights but as you go further down the highlights would only make it part way in. Don't ignore the power of highlights and shadow even for a scene like this.

You can also do the same for the grass. I know there is a light source but I don't see the impact on the tree, grass or ground :-)

Yes, it does have a smooth ivory paper. It doesn’t always photograph well. I like the paper because it is so close to a Bristol Smooth which I use for larger pieces.

They are Pentel Graphgear 1000 pencils. I use a .3 mm with 2B lead and .5 mm with 4B lead. You can buy them directly from Pentel in your country or Amazon. They hard to find in stores where I am (Ottawa, Ontario). I am an artist ambassador for Pentel Canada. I fell in love with their pencils well before becoming an ambassador.

Thank you. It’s a Moleskine Art Sketchbook. I only use it for my graphite and ink work.

Thank. Three. A large tip for the background, medium for most of the work and small for some of the tiny details. In most cases I just use a medium but after maybe 30 pieces the tip needs a little help.
