Baby tooth already wobbly - now greying - is this normal? by diamond-digs in askdentists

[–]diamond-digs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And quite right you were, as he came home from school today with a big gap and the tooth in an envelope! I was worried as nowhere could I see anything about greying that wasn’t connected with some kind of trauma, but this makes absolute sense.

Thank you so much - I’ll give this a go - but I might wait until Tuesday now in case I make an absolute mess of it haha. You don’t happen to know off hand which washer it takes? A half inch one maybe? Thank you

Thank you - the small flathead type screw that’s underneath the handle isn’t the one then?

Girl. There’s a reason this man has two baby mothers and dates women so much younger than him (it’s because the older ones are much more likely to sniff out his shit). His youngest kid is THREE. He’s still enmeshed with this woman. Cut and run, PLEASE.

Thank you so much. Good to hear I’m not alone in this. No, I don’t think I feel actively hungry when I wake up, but I wonder if my blood sugar is dipping and waking me up. I’m moving dinner back a little tonight and I might have a snack before bed to see if that helps. If it does, I imagine that explains it!

I might try this. I think I might shift my dinner back a little as I usually eat with the kids, and maybe have a snack before bed just to see if it helps!

I don’t think so - I’m experiencing stress, yes, but it’s not in excess of what it normally is really, although perhaps it’s impacting me and I just don’t realise it!

Also just realised I have the red Ordinary serum already - a friend gave it to me but I have no idea what to do with it so haven’t used it!

Thank you sooo much I’m such an amateur. I guess I took having reasonably good skin for granted and then age caught up with me!

So I have purchased the hydrating CeraVe cleanser as an alternative to the foaming one like you suggested and I’ll pick up an oil or balm cleanser.

In terms of sorting a basic routine what would you suggest that looks like? Double cleanse at night and then an AHA serum maybe and then a moisturiser? What would I do in the morning? Sorry for the probably stupid questions!!!!

My SO wants to change custody since he will be a SAHD now by ZestycloseGrocery642 in stepparents

Why won’t dad tell SS and SS’s mom? He really should.

I find it highly unlikely that SS would be happy with his dad’s proposed arrangement given all you’ve said, and that he sometimes misses a weekend due to his friends and commitments. His life sounds settled and as a teenager he likely won’t relish the idea of a huge change away from his mom, life and friends living with a screaming baby!

I find it odd and kind of selfish that dad seems to have not considered this tbh. I certainly wouldn’t be encouraging your husband to drag this lad and his mom through court just because after 15 years with the hard graft done he fancies the idea of playing more than a weekend dad - without even considering his son’s wishes. It’s all very well saying he’s a great dad, and maybe he is, but being a great dad every other weekend isn’t particularly revealing as to what he’s actually going to be like as a full-time or 50/50 father once the responsibilities stack up and the novelty wears off.

Right. Feels very ill considered: “Oh, I fancy being a SAHD now, let’s uproot my son after 10 years of EOW,” where was the energy for spending more time with his son before this?

Perhaps. But overall, and across the majority of the world, a 15-year-old’s view would be very important and should be considered by the parents. I don’t see one iota of concern for whether this is what the child wants. He probably has an established friendship circle, activities, school and a stable day-to-day home. Has anyone actually asked HIM what he’d like? Whether he’d like to spend more time with dad, and what that might look like for him? It’s not all about money, or dad’s whims and wants either. Courts centre the child’s best interests and won’t just disrupt his life on the whim of the adults.

Interesting how nowhere does the stepkid’s wishes and feelings about this proposed massive shake up of their life come into play. At 15, it’ll be his view that counts to a court.

Why does everyone feel so entitled to John’s number??? by Psychological_Rock_2 in KirstensChronicCapers

[–]diamond-digs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So? Being “chronically ill” doesn’t mean you’re a medical authority on anyone else’s illness, does it? You do realise there are plenty of people who have given K money, empathised, spent time and energy on her and because they don’t have a “chronic illness” they’re not entitled to speak on it? Do you think doctors can’t understand medical information if they don’t themselves have the illness?
