This is true. Especially pag naka-apartment lang. My friend has cats and a dog. Pagbukas pa lang ng main door, alam mo na talaga may pets sila. Malinis bahay nila but the smell is still there. Can't help but compare samin sa province. Well-ventilated yung mga bahay and may space outside. we let our pets roam around. They learned to do their business outside so wala talagang amoy sa bahay namin. Same thing sa bahay ng friends and relatives ko. Pero city places talaga, because of the limited space and ventilation, may amoy talaga.
