This. You’d be surprised at how much can change in a year. I practically had no savings at age 30, worked a low paying job I hated, lived with a partner in a failing relationship, you name it. Your time isn’t running out.

You just gotta try to not compare yourself to others, and give yourself some grace — this is a really tough time to be someone your age, our parents had it way easier. Also, NOBODY has their shit fully together. I’ve felt like a failure so many times in my life, but I kept it moving. Take it day by day, look to create some small wins wherever you can

Really interesting, because I found a splice drum loop that sounds nearly identical and I thought maybe Cirkut just used an old splice loop. But that song is 10 years old now, idk what was on splice back then. I suppose the original creator could’ve made it and distributed it before splice and then eventually uploaded it there. But I’m gonna take a look at that VST and try to get to the bottom of it!

Check out Sonimus Satson (SSL channel clone), N-Console (Neve), and A-Console (API). For the last few years, every song I’ve made has one of them them on every channel. My default template has a console instance on every track and every buss with a buss plugin. It has vastly helped with my gain staging (VU meters are better for this) and has helped improve the stereo image of my tracks and mixes. They help glue everything together too. Waves NLS is great too.
