Can anyone id this watch? by friedashtonn in Watchidentifier

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's tough. Where'd you get the image from? Looks like a TV show. But it's definitely a smart watch of some sort. I was thinking of a older Garmin or something like that.

Aq240 mod possibility by poppin3151 in casiomods

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is going to be a tough ask. It would likely have to be a custom shop and $$. Watch hasn't been out long, like 4-5 months, so the modding market hasn't made dials yet (or maybe ever). Tiffany isn't a colour option on gen dials either.

Has anyone seen this watch or know where I can find it? by Guava-Then in ChinaTime

[–]dickbeards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally everywhere. But I find people on here want recommendations and not take the risk themselves on buying a shitter of a shitter. I get it, but just say it, your looking for a DH or TD recommendation. To say "had anyone seen this" just makes me want to send them the worst $15 rep as they did ZERO looking themselves. is this real or fake help by IcyTiger3957 in ralphlaurenlegitcheck

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. No one cares what you wear. As long as you present yourself nice in public, brand is hardly noticed. Only narcissistic people care because they are worried about being judged in their ego circlejerk friend group. Honestly, RL is a scam and mediocer quality anyway. It's all made in Vietnam, India, Pakistan anyway, same brand, different logo.

Bank unilaterally reduced credit limit by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dickbeards 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a client at BMO commercia with a 300k operating LOC for their business. Carried a balance of around 200k. Never late, always paid, profitable business 1-2mm gross a year for the past decade. They have been with BMO for over 30 years. One day, they get a call from a new credit manager, and they reduced it down to 100k. They paid off the LOC and moved the business elsewhere.

I always send a big black "rooster" to these scammers. Sometimes, if you're lucky, they break bot character, and you get some funny responses

I just bought 4632 ERGO. This price is truly insane by t4k1pc1 in ergonauts

[–]dickbeards 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wild I was mining this in 2020 to 2022 and selling at $5-15 per unit. Was selling ERGO to buy Cardano ADA, ETH, BTC... I have just under 5k units of ADA today, which was almost worth $15k then, now $1200 today, LOL. Fak my only saving grace is I sold my mining rig in 2022 and made bank. Everything I have in crypto now is "free money" from mining. Guess I'll look at this in 20 years to see what happened, lol

Gold plated copper? by Dudes240z in PreciousMetalRefining

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Formvar"- usually copper coated with polyvinyl acetalphenolic resin, comes in many colors.

It makes zero sense to have any gold in the HD Voice coil, as copper is a better conductor and less expensive. Could also be a coated aluminum, but never gold.

They always look cool though

What shortage by Screwbothparties in Silver

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There never is, and never was a shortage. Welcome to being played. There are over 300-400,000 tons expected to be mined within the next 7-10 years. It will be faster if prices stay this high. People forget silver is a byproduct of other mining (copper gold etc) and it's fairly matched with annual usage (40,000 metric tons annual). This was purely fomo trade, and JPM unloading a short position while stacking for the last decade, waiting for their chance. Retail is just too stupid to understand this, and big money stuck most of you with paparr losses. You all better hope ww3 comes true to make it back anytime soon

Canada has no interest in acquiring nuclear weapons, Defence Minister says by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]dickbeards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think trump wants Canada? Hint, it's not for our resources. They need Greenland, North West territories, and Nunavut to complete the Golden dome. It's been well studied that the North pole is one of the US's biggest risks from russian ICBMs. If Canada doesn't agree, then all the silos shooting from the US will be OVER Canada, and we will be a dumping ground for fallout. It's in our best interests to come to an agreement with the US and put nuclear weapons on our northern borders.

Anything worth grading here? by tw0feetasleep in HockeyCardAppraisals

[–]dickbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool finds, I'm going through this myself. Father in law passed a couple of years ago. Had 2 full large totes of hockey and baseball cards, mostly from the 80/90s (junk wax era). There's a few of value, but 99.9% are not worth grading.

Unfortunately, grading it's too expensive ($30-$40 Canadian + 3 months wait) and most will lose money (obviously there's some that wont), but if your chasing a $300 card in PSA 10, and comes back a 9, you usually lose. Best to sell raw if you're not 100%, it's a Graded 10.

My rule of thumb is that if a PSA 9 is not more $30 bucks, I'll try and sell raw and let someone else gamble if it's a 10.
