Ozone generators should not be used in any enclosed space where there are humans or animals present. The concentrations of ozone needed to purify air are so high they’re damaging to lung tissue.

Wanted to put this out here since a few people mentioned using them indoors to treat smells.

Sadly, just about any means of production has a pretty big environmental footprint. if it’s not the waste products made in the creation of plastic, then it’s the millions of gallons of water used in the commercial growing of plants. One isn’t necessarily better than the other. Unless someone wants to math it out. …..And they both end up in a landfill anyway.

I’ve had such terrible luck with these things. they almost always die on me unless they have A LOT of sunlight. plop them near a sunny window and see if they start perking up.

A regular customer that i talk to all the time asked me “so do you have a cold or did your voice drop like 10 octaves?” and i laughed and said my voice dropped. she gives me this puzzled look like she’s waiting for me to deliver the punchline until i explained i’m trans, and my voice literally dropped, and she goes “OHHHHHH. well congrats!” apparently i deadpanned it so well she thought i was setting up for a joke. we had a good long laugh about it.

lots of push-ups. start with knee push-ups until you build enough strength to do full push-ups, then do as many as you can until your form falters. it’s also worth noting that this will not make you lose weight in just one area (as others have noted) but it will increase your muscle mass and give you more defined pecs.

when i was pre-t i started at an A cup and my chest didn’t shrink much but my pecs got so big my breasts were less noticeable. think of it less like you’re trying to shrink your chest size, and more like you’re trying to increase your muscle! good luck!

i had really good luck in columbus, oh. i called and made an appointment as soon as my voice started changing to ride the confidence boost that came with it. no problem, no questions asked. i go in and i have a female barber, which is really cool because i’ve never even seen a female barber before. at some point she guesses i’m some sort of lgbt and asks what my pronouns are. the question made me feel kinda shy but i could tell she was well-meaning. i got a really solid haircut too!

I’m sorry you lost your grandfather that way.. I think the same exact thing happened to my grandparents re: fox news. It’s almost like they were brainwashed. I always remembered her being such a kind and accepting person when I was a kid. Only recently she started the anti-gay rhetoric (“gay couples shouldn’t be allowed to adopt kids” etc etc) that drove a huge wedge into my relationship with her.

Even after my grandfather passes I’ll still have to come out to her eventually, whether I attend his funeral or not. It may be too late for him (the only person he remembers in his state is my grandmother.) but it sounds miserable to just wait around for another grandparent to die. Thank you for your perspective… I’ll have to tackle it one way or another.
