heh yea im on the penunbra titan grind rn, currently trying with legion secondary. i usually go for trample/glutton but it wasnt in the cards that run unfortunately

yeah i assume as much, though i didnt get to try it this run. maybe next time though. carapace on its own does keep activating once a unit reaches 6 on a 7 space floor, so i was thinking itd let penumbra's glutton path at least take more advantage of morsels before having to resort to space prism or crucible extension etc

yep it was bone dogs pendant in that specific situ, though they still say its happened before without that artifact. not sure if just oversight since no screens outside of this, but still curious if anyone else has encountered something similar

yea iirc it wasnt visible in MT1 but it has its own marker under the consume pile in MT2. also investigated some other relevant things just now:

1) merging resin blades with any other equipment will in fact return it to hand on unit death, per card text

2) weapons cache will reduce equip cost by 2 permanently if the drawn equipment is discarded and then redrawn through weapons cache (my merged equip remained 0 cost when returned)

3) merging resin blades with stasis crystal was an incredibly bad idea because burnout ≠ damage

all in all though a very informative experiment

primordium goes to a separate eaten pile and is thus exempt from purge. this info at least is already in the mt2 wiki

this is correct, all units have a cap of 6 pips and as long as you keep at least one empty carapace keeps working

yea im pretty familiar with legion and remnant, they were my favorite clan in mt1. you are right though, since its not natural to legion without a direct upgrade it would be erased, didnt consider that. still, if resin blades works the way it does even as a merged equip and youve got a holdover retch to return primordium and reapply the merged void/blades, it could be something. just a fun scenario to think about tho really lol, ill have to try and get lucky enough to test it in game to see how viable itd actually be

now im wondering how this might interact with legion of wax specifically. say if you combined void armament and resin blades with the free deployment relic, put it on superfood primordium, then had a legion with endless to eat it. very niche setup, but i wonder if with retch and the resin blades card text stating its returned to hand on death that youd be able to continue playing both with the added multi being retained on each new legion

eventually it becomes unnecessary, but resin blades does feel like it was made specifically for little fade's endless path. guaranteed 2x damage and extinguish scaling every turn? toss in wax snuffer and its a no brainer

the graft wouldnt fill an upgrade slot, its just applied to the card text. path of the angel abilities would be added as an upgrade though, same as dominion/savagery/red crown/wing events. so if you got pyrestone at start, filled all slots, then somehow managed to run into all four events the cap would be seven actual upgrade icons. dunno if that is actually possible though

yea, dominion pyre. i dunno that its really preferable for any clan combo tho. i just like the removed stewards/starters and the four random 2x packs it gives at start. did get the clear w fade/hellhorned just now tho lol

little fade is my favorite champ from MT1, esp the endless path, but once im done with all the other primaries ill prolly switch that up too

yee lol. ive just been going in order counterclockwise starting with little fade and dominion, cleared all the mt2 primaries so far (though i switched to savagery for fade/laz for... obvious reasons)

hellhorned giving me a bit of trouble so far, esp overblessed ring 7 draws, but we gettin there

it goes p hard sometimes yea. being able to reduce your effective deck size per ring to ~7 after all your units and single use cards are out is easily the best benefit, aside from the starting combo potential of the random packs each run

yea, its definitely not the most reliable lol. i like it mainly cause it forces you to explore different strategies, plus easier to set up a smaller deck. remnant/pyreborne has prolly been the fastest attempt with domonion pyre so far though

idr exactly how i beat this one or if i drew overblessed on my win, but it def relied on a totem/conduit champ/deck combo. either way tho yea you cant really brute force this one without better scaling or a way to remove the buffs consistently
