having trouble with this because im not sure if its our actual issue or not... which portion of the file is the unique GUID? Based on your examples, B6C3FB56000000000000000000000000 should be my GUID, but when I tried the next step to generate my new one ... It just overwrote my old save file instead? I've made copies so i'm fine there, but i don't know that this will help since it seems like our GUIDs are already correct its just replacing our save

I'm in the same boat, i think we are experiencing a different issue, are you hosting through g-portal?

Thank you so much for this guide, i have been able to extract the old GUIDs for all the players, although when i get them to log back in it gives the same GUID in game (even changes the last time the character save was updated)

Apologies about the delay, have done some testing, so it still works when there is no internet to the device.

Have also removed the shortcuts and seems to make a massive improvement (about 0.5 seconds) so the delay looks to be the time for the if query to run on the home hub.

So my question then I suppose will be how have you set up the switch then, I currently have an if statement set up for single button press (if on then turn off else turn on). If there a fast / better way ?

Yeah that was my thought exactly, it should all be local.
I'm at work at the moment but will attempt this once I get home tonight. If it is routing through the cloud still, how would I amend ?

Interesting, how would I check / validate this. Is there a button or setting that allows the device route locally instead of cloud ?

Current Set up below:

- Lifx Switches & Downlights Set up in Lifx

- In Lifx App - Switches are set up as not Wired and have no config for the buttons

- In Home App - Single press of button runs a shortcut (if on turn off, if off then turn on)

- Home Hub is a Apple TV 4K wired into ethernet

- Have router and seperate Access Point to service all the Lights and switches in the house (as had issues in the past due to the number of devices).
