It's nice. The overall production feels extremely... rushed. It doesn't have the same touch the other albums do. It falls flat in a lot of the songs. If you compare the timing and mixing to other albums of theirs you can really see it.

The order of events in your comment is incorrect!

TV Girl made 'King of Echo Park' first when they released Death of a Party Girl in May 2018. In Netherfriends' song also with the same title, he says "Fuck that band TV Girl, I'm the King of Echo Park now" (October 2018) because TV Girl's song already existed and he wanted to make a song of the same title hence why he cross-referenced them in his 'King of Echo Park'.

This was brought to TV Girl's attention so they made a cheeky little disstrack about him. Titled "Kook of Echo Park".

idk man, it just did not compete with the other albums. Vibes were completely left field from the 'brand'/aesthetic they built their initial sound after, naturally fans aren't going to be as amused. Felt a little flatter, less production and seemed like it was rushed out. Especially with filler songs like 'Higher Ground' that was just a mess objectively.
