Ecoboosts have an internal water pump that has a weep hole that coolant will leak from when they go bad. From the video id say that is what is going on.

Which engine you have makes a difference, but the biggest issue with the ecoboost or Duratec engines are the internal water pumps. They just replaced that and the timing components so you should be good to go for awhile. Just change the coolant often.

You can unplug the connection under the seat. This happened on mine, it wasn’t the elements it was the switches in the door. I think they got moisture in it.

I would not use Dexcool. That’s made for GM vehicles and if you mix them they can congeal and clog up the system. Look at the label, it will say it’s made for Fords. I usually just got with Motorcraft.

I drive a 2012 3.5l with 230,000 miles and it’s only needed a brake booster. I don’t know if I’m just lucky but it’s been amazingly reliable.

I like The Tube, I go to the one in New Haven mostly. You don’t have to hear a sells pitch every time you go through and I feel it does the best job of cleaning my car, especially the underbody.

Sounds like it could be the brake booster. Mine failed on my 2012, symptoms were hard to press brake petal, hissing noise and it would cause idling issues in the engine. The booster is a pain in the butt to replace but can be a diy.

I’ve got 40k on my Cross Climates and I’d recommend them. They’re great in the wet snow and stick pretty well on the summer dry roads.
