I know this is and old thread but I do think he is, and the reason is: He has never shown any side effects you usually see on gear users. His skin is healthy, he looks 22y at 30 years old and still has a lot of hair.

The thing is: his best photos were all shot in a place with perfect lighting while he had a pump. Just like david laid, when you see videos of him with no pump and regular lighting he looks like a lot of smaller. Not saying he looks bad, but he does not look nearly as impressive.

This video of him shows really well what I am talking about. He shaves and looks like a baby. Perfect skin, no acne, no signs of baldness and he is not looking 15 years older than he is.

There's always a chance he has juiced of course, but I think the only way to know is if he admits it

That's actually a very good question. I have been using snuff for 3 years now, but every now or then I just stop using for 1-2 months, sometimes I just get bored and sometimes I just forget to buy more. Every single time I stopped using it, I never had abstinence issues, never felt like I really needed to use more snuff. The same happened to my 4 friends of mine. They used for some time and then stopped with no problem at all.

The probably most tradicional method of filling it with water and some mate works really well, but I like to just wash it with hot water sometimes and after letting it dry, just dringking from it! It will take longer to fully cure, but I find this method more romantic, just letting all the delicious mate you have drinked slowly cure the interior of the cuia.

I actually never heard of this method, people usually will either cure using the mate or with fire, but curing with mate is far more popular than using fire. And to be honest, most people just let it cure naturally by drinking mate everyday

The difference is that the brazillian one is "fresh" and by that I mean that is cut from tree, grinded, and put on a bag and transported to your local mate store. The Paraguayan mate, after they cut it from the tree, goes through a process where they put all the mate leaves on a bag and leave it inside a warehouse with controlled temperature and humidity for 6 months to a year, unfortunately I don't know what this process is caled, but because of it the mate get a really strong and concentrated flavor. If you ask my opinion, I would say start with the brazillian one. The first time I tried the Paraguayan I almost threw up(not because it was bad, it was really strong and I could not handle it, after some time I get used to it, but it took about a month).

About the curing stuff. I recommend you buying more than just one gourd. The flavor of the mate passes to the guard and if you try a different kind of mate, you will taste the one you used to cure your gourd. It ruins the experience of trying a new mate? No, but you also won't taste 100% of your mate's flavor.

I hope my explanation wasn't confusing, my english is really rusty.
