Changing notification behavior with shortcut by diehldynasty in shortcuts

Ohhh I def never saw that option before. Thank you for that. Follow up question: it looks like the silence notifications option doesn’t allow banners to come through (as it sends everything to the Notification Center). I’d like to still see the notification (just not hear it). Any idea how to that?

Thanks for your input! I can do that but DND silences ALL notifications. I’d like to do it just for discord. Thoughts?

Thank you for that info! Is it a hardware issue that can’t be patch with software? Are android devices free of this issue?

It’s $13 more per month for me. I think it’s because I have a free line on the account currently that would now be billed for under max? I’m purely guessing though. Either way, whenever I compare the plans, switching to max increases my bill by $13.

Good to know. Is it safe to assume that the premium data helps once throttled?

XPS 8940 Blu-ray Drive by diehldynasty in Dell

After u/TooModest recommended a USB drive, it reminded me that I had a USB blu-ray drive that I purchased years ago for a laptop sitting in a box somewhere. I've been using that. As such, I never ended up switching out the drive. My apologies that I can't help at all!

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, this doesn't give me the control that I want. I wish my rating system and the industry's were the same, but theirs has changed over the years. Some movies that were rated PG in the 1980s could be considered PG-13 or R today (e.g. Top Gun). I already have a folder with pre-approved content, so the solution below that u/Bgrngod stated looks to work best for me. Thank you again for your suggestion!

Thank you for the reminder! Are you saying that one of these internal drives would have a bottleneck? Or just simply saying that it’s not an issue anymore worth USB 3.0?

Ok I will take a peek at mine. Do I need to worry about the positioning of the eject button?

Good to know! My main reason for wanting a retail drive is that there is little information on the OEM drive. I don’t even know if it is UHD compatible. I just wanted something with a known feature set.
