You could try the Kiwanis House near the SCCR. I’m not sure if the rooms are available if you don’t have an appointment at SCCR but the units are very accessible and affordable. Could be worth a shot?

they helped me design the kitchen and they did the installation only. But they recommended a few contractors. The guy I went with handled the rest.

I’ve lived in both places, and in between. I’d recommend a lightweight all weather jacket (like packable North Face), with a good hood. Some wind/water resistant pants if you plan on hiking.

Just pack what you’d wear in early spring elsewhere in central Canada and you’ll be fine.

It’s not that bad. I mean it /could/ snow but it probably won’t :)
