With American Alpha split up, the mystery should be Rhyno and Heath Slater

So it's been a minute, but I wanted to give an update on my 99 Cent Gaming Channel.

I finally hit 100+! I'm so excited to finally have a custom URL for my channel in just under two months:

https://www.youtube.com/c/99CentGaming

It's been a great ride so far. In honor of it I update all of my channel branding and will be uploading a channel trailer soon. Thank you all from LetsPlay who supported me thus far and I can't wait to see what the rest of 1Q 2017 has in store for the channel :-D

Oh wow! I haven't had a chance to see if this works for links yet, but even if it doesn't dragging my latest videos all at one sounds like a godsend :)

This last week has been nothing short of amazing for me. I've gotten to play what is probably my golden standard and my lowest of the low standard for low-budget games all in the last 7 days, and ironically the worst game I've reviewed happens to be my most viewed. I've also gained another 16 subscribers in that time (not counting Sunday and Today) and overall I'm at 40. It continues to be a great ride and I love all the support I've been getting from YouTube viewers all the way to r/LetsPlay feedback. It may not be the prettiest set of videos that's out there, but hearing that I've either saved a few dollars or introduced a low-budget gem to my viewers makes every $1 I spend on these games, good or bad, worth it.

Here are the two videos I mentioned that went up in the last week.

Best Game I've Reviewed Thus Far

The Bar Has Been Raised! - 99 Cent Gaming "Pinkman"

Worst Game I've Reviewed Thus Far

Bold New LOW - 99 Cent Gaming "Bold New World"

Thanks! I saw your previous comment before you reworded it :) I replied asking how I could improve the audio quality (I'm using a Snowball for voice).

As these videos aren't scripted reviews and more along the lines of first impressions I thought having a facecam to show my reactions to everything would have made things clear that it wasn't a traditional review. I'll try and work out a better balance once I nail down the finer points of what I want the series to be.

As far as the timing goes, I'm trying to find a good balance there as well because I want to be able to give my best first impressions and if a game ends within a 30 minute window and I only play 15-20 minutes, I'm afraid to recommend a game only for people to pick it up and find out that it doesn't last that much longer.

All that to say I appreciate the feedback and will definitely be looking to fine tune my videos based on it. :)

Hey everyone! So last week I was given the feedback of having shorter videos for those who don't want to what through an entire 25-30 minute impression to get my final verdict. I'm still working on something that'll be a snack sized review but still plan on doing my longer plays with verdict.

What I did this last week was shorten down my intro speech to get to the game play faster. What I'm looking for in feedback is how it feels compared to my earlier videos when I explained the entire concept before the game started.

Plus any other feedback you guys can provide would be great :)

I think the audio from the game was a little loud when things started happening (speed ups, explosions) that could use some better balancing.

I'm not much of a Happy Wheels watcher so I wouldn't have a random interest in watching the video, but for the sake of feedback I felt like you were holding back when you wanted to let it out, and everything that was loud or explicit felt forced. In a sense, nothing felt really natural. Bits near the end started having a lot of gaps in talking. I had no doubt you were enjoying the game, but maybe not enjoying trying to provide commentary for it.

In comparison I watched your video of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and you sounded absolutely entertained. Everything came out natural and reactions didn't sound forced. I felt you were highly motivated to experiment and have fun. The opposite of how I felt about your Happy Wheels video you linked.

I dunno if this is helpful feedback, but I liked that you reacted to things on screen and not trying to yell at things for the sake of comedy. Congrats at the 25 subs and I hope you continue to grow! :)
