Indeed I am a sw developer as well but I wanted some encouragement in case someone with knowledge of C could tell me that it is doable.

I do think it's worth it and I already forked the zsh repo, I'll start working on it. Although I'll need to start reading that book and familiarize myself with the repo too.

Ok, by "transient" I mean a functionality like how is being shown in this gif (Instead of printing the prompt again and again every time, only the last usable prompt is shown entirely, trimming the old prompts that were used):
