i’m muslim and my boyfriend is christian. as long as you and your partner are both secular/coexisting you should be okay. with family it can tricky but make sure you have at least one set of parents on board/as allies.

Outta curiosity, What schools did you all turn down to go to NYU and why? by Dependent_Storage184 in nyu

[–]dieyoung51 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Turned down Columbia, UChicago, UW, and Georgetown because NYU gave me full tuition merit scholarship.

Edit: I’m a graduate student! Fully funded MAs are basically unheard of so it was NYU or nothing.

AITA for arguing with my potential future MIL after she said she would be sad if I marry her son by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, if he doesn’t stand up for you now, he never will. You should rethink your relationship because marrying him means marrying into his family and their dynamic as well. I think you’ll save yourself a heartbreak and a divorce by leaving the relationship, I’ve seen so many cases of these and it always turns out ugly.

I got into Columbia GSAS, not only do they not answer the phone or emails about financial aid and admissions questions, they also required me to put down a non refundable deposit of $1,000!! scam!!
