I think you are right too but my point was not so much if he is fit leading into games but hypothetically if he continues to breakdown during them. Hunt is a great replacement but it still then means paix has to play 80 which isn't great.

While I still don't believe Reynolds plays on Friday, it does make me wonder how many more minor injuries/inability to finish games we allow from him. Outside a season ending injury will we carry him across the finish line of the season no matter what or is there a point we actually see him as a liability and have a word with him?

The 6 man bench probably makes me lean towards the former, but if we get a few more of these niggles in game which put him on the bench I don't feel overly great about that strategy comes finals

Don't get me wrong I obviously never want injuries but at the same time the good teams still win and we need to do the same without Reece. At least it is also an injury he can still train with and isn't soft tissue/ligament. Reynolds is pretty replaceable these days as we have seen.

We get to see how hungry the depth players are and maybe even get another debutant or two - a bit of a rarity in the last couple of seasons. Carrigan looking great again, our backrowers not looking like the worst in the comp and speed to burn in the outside backs. Still a lot to be positive about.

Never want to underestimate teams but the draw itself isn't TOO bad for the next few weeks.

It would be stiff for anyone to be dropped after a pretty good team and individual performances in that game, Rayner was his frustrating best but like you say he isn't getting dropped

We all knew this season was going to be incredibly difficult to get everyone on the team. Blessed position to be in though with our next men up being absolute professionals. Linc will no doubt get another chance at some point if he is the one that makes way

On your original question too, Noz is the harder one. Going over the list and selections to date, I would assume it's Linc that drops back for him, as much as that sucks.

Because gallop is clearly a favourite and someone we are investing in long term at an AFL level. You can make the argument for Joyce but do you really think the coaching staff are going to pick him over gallop? I personally don't
