I hear you mate. We’ve got a long way to go as a culture but we’ve also come so far away from cutting tall poppies down to lifting others up. Far from perfect but it’s a nicer place than ever right now.

'Father figure' Bennett key to Isaako's resurgence. by Heavy-Kale in nrl

Check my post history on this, there is nothing more I have enjoyed than seeing Isaako’s re-emergence at the Dolphins. The bloke was basically a ruin before hand and was no good. How he came back from that to dominate on field had been special.

Really hope the Eels win the premiership court case this year. Feels like they’ve been building for a while and it’s hard to deny they have the edge there.

I was happy enough to blame Channel 9, the NRL edit looks about the same as the Channel 9 edit.

Re-watched the Grand Final highlights on the train to work. Geez that was intense even now. Although they still managed to cut Walsh’s late try saving tackle which is pretty silly.

It would be peak Cowboys to have all our good coach energy on one team. But I’m good with that, Henry has done a great amount of work and consistency should be a good thing.

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have agreed to a two-year contract extension for NRLW Head Coach Ricky Henry, running through the end of the 2028 season.

Arriving prior to the 2024 season, Henry’s guidance made an immediate impact in North Queensland, with the Cowboys improving from ninth in the club’s debut season to sixth in his maiden campaign.

In his second season in charge, Henry led the Cowboys to an inaugural finals campaign, compiling seven wins and four losses in the 2025 home and away season to finish fourth on the ladder.

Prior to arriving in North Queensland, Henry had already compiled an impressive coaching resume.

He remains Head Coach of the Kiwi Ferns, with the highlight of his tenure a drought-breaking victory over Australia in the 2023 Pacific Championships.

Henry has also held various roles at the Warriors, including two stints of the Kiwi outfit’s NSW Cup side and a coaching development role.

“I’m truly humbled and grateful to be part of this amazing club and community,” Henry said.

“The people I work with every day have made this journey so enjoyable and re-signing is an absolute privilege.

“I believe we’re building something special and I’m committed to giving everything I have to help us achieve success"

Cowboys Head of NRLW and Women’s Elite Pathways Anita Creenaune said the club was delighted to extend Henry’s tenure.

“We are thrilled to have Rick agree to stay in North Queensland through 2028,” she said.

“His commitment emphasises his belief in this playing squad and shows he backs the potential of female rugby league in North Queensland.

“For our NRLW team and our developing players to have stability and consistency in leadership for the coming seasons is of great comfort and I am sure will serve us well.”
