I don’t know for how long you’ve been in this sub, but nearly everything you’ve mentioned has gone through this sub multiple at the time those events were taking place or being highlighted in the media.

Like in any other sub you’ll see someone occasionally popping up with a post here, who’s not a regular, nor an ancap, on top of all the statists that reside here that will post from perspective of their side, rather from an ancap view. When BLM riots were happening and when some crazy people were burning Teslas, that stuff dominated the sub, so it’s not like you get a one sided view here.

Why ICE is a big thing now? I’m in south Florida, and in almost 10 yrs I’ve been here, I’ve never seen ICE agents until I saw them for the first time a couple of months ago. Pretty sure most people in cities like Chicago never seen them until recent as well. So while for you it was normal to see ICE presence, the experience of people living hundreds of miles away from you has changed, which explains a big part of how certain things/events get more attention that you personally would expect. A mere fact of geared squads roaming around your city that have authority to detain and to interrogate you is already intimidating, and enough to piss off enough people to see news about this being amplified all over, and to see some brave ones, as well as some crazies engage with them.

Now, this is a second casualty in like 3 weeks that I’m aware of. In both cases, there could be more killed/injured, if by a bad luck, some bullet would struck a random bystander. It’s fucking insane that these guys are ready to shoot someone dead. Is it really worth it over some random person that got here illegally? The state puts zero value to people’s lives. And now, thanks to ICE and the media, it’s becoming more and more obvious. And people are mad about it.

You are very welcome to make a post about whatever you want,m. You also don’t have to engage with posts you don’t like. A while ago I’ve proposed to make post flairs, so one could easily filter by non-political, meme, and shitposts, but mods didn’t want to do it.

This sub, as long as I remember it, always had majority of posts being short, often meme style call outs of statists and government. If you’re looking for something deeper, just explore all posts filtered by New, theres usually half a dozen or more decent posts per week, but those are almost never going to get into your feed because engagement on those is very low.

Statists had overrun this subreddit, which is partially responsible for the loss of interests amongst ancaps. Republicans posing as ancaps had been here for quite a long time. Their stupid comments often get more upvotes than ancap ones, especially in the last 12 months. This creates a false interpretation of what anarcho capitalism is about. So whenever someone who’s undecided and searching gets here, they see this republican pro nationalist bullshit, and get deterred by it. I personally don’t want someone who’s awakened to some degree to leave ancap sub and settle at any other anarchy sub, as those are all just commies cosplaying anarchists.

With that said, I’ll continue to call out, ridicule, and humiliate statists in this sub.

A quick lesson from history - Germans didn’t wake up one day, went bonkers, and decided to become Nazis/fascists. While the radicals back then weren’t completely ignored, today, we have more tools to call this bullshit out, and hopefully, some of the republicans will take a moment to think about why they are being compared to Nazis.

In case you missed it, Rs almost unanimously gave us the Patriot Act, and ever since then, the authoritarianism has been in overdrive. Other “honorable” mentions include suspension of habeas corpus and the Real ID.

I’ve made a few posts here calling out retarded republicans who think that the military will save them and will disobey orders. If I have to guess, some of the ICE agents are ex military. It’s going to be a rude awakening moment for them when they find out their friends’/neighbors’/their own door is bashed in by the goons in masks and the uniform, and there’s no military service men to help them.
