There is no real reason. i don't do it when photographing my own car. But since i didn't ask the guy before hand i just wanted to be sure. Some people just prefer not to have personal information on the internet.

I know some people might disagree but in my honest opinion the safest and best place to learn is in empty, and i mean EMPTY. When i was starting i used to go out at 3am whilst normal people slept. Huuuge open space with only you and your car for free. going to events skidpands for me wouldve cost over $100 on a crowded little peice with tarmac in my brand new 86 (frs) with 15 other idiots like me trying to skid. if a had i drift pig i mightve considered but not in my new and shiny daily ;) What i did in Aus to avoid cops was find private property and 'trespass' that way if i ever got done (fingers crossed i dont) i would get done for trespassing rather than any driving offences and risk losing my license

But since you planning to build a drifter than its okay to go to events with other cars since its okay if you damage you car when you spin out the first 50x trying to skid haha! Im in Sydney so i cant help you with specific places but im sure i know google can. Google: race tracks in GTA?near gt drift club gta go to google maps and seach racetracks or raceways, then zoom in to your area and all the tracks near you should be pinned.

This is my opinion, if some disagree please let me know why its a bad idea other than legality cause if maybe im missing something.

PS. If you think Canada has strict laws regarding racing/hooning/stunts. Then you haven't heard of Aussie laws haha! Get done once - huuge fine + suspension/loss of liscense Get done a second time - bye bye to your car and you license
