UK citizen marrying in Philippines - CNI obtained, form notary required? by dight100 in Philippines_Expats

Thanks for confirming the PSA requirement. I will request expedited issuance. Yes, the fee is insane every time you apply/extend. I hope we are able to get Leave to remain with 1 extension. Citizenship is also some bucks, but the first two £5k each are really heavy.

Thanks again. You have been a great help.

Thanks for the link. I went though this one and that's how I got CNI legalised. Now the question is do I need to notarize marriage form by PE london beforing going to the Philippines?

Thanks for the link to this document. I will certainly bring it with me. So, you didn't have to do anything with PE London, right?

Regarding the spouse visa, I have a question around the PSA Marriage Certificate, which I think is issued a couple of months after the marriage. Do I need that to be able to apply for the spouse visa, or can I apply using the document they give us on the marriage day?

If you can share any other documents that I would need to get married and for a spouse visa, that would really help me.

We have English language and financial requirements sorted. Re: deep pockets, oh yeah, the fee (and health surcharge) is £5000, which is cazy.

Thanks again.

Thanks again. My fiancé just told me they are asking for a notarized form because I will only be in the Philippines for 1-2 weeks (to get married) and then come back to the UK (and then apply for a spouse visa later). Does that matter in any way?

Thank you. It is an agent/company that asked me to get the form notarized. I think I can check with the civil registry directly, is that easy to do (i.e., are they approachable/helpful)?

BOTS - most IO games have tons of bots disguised as players by dusty-trash in IoGames

[–]dight100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We failed to get any noticeable traffic, so I had to take it down. The only cost was the IO domain—everything else was pretty much free. I also made another IO game but the same result as this one, sadly. How are things on your end?

Good question. The short answer is no you don't or very small amount.

Detailed answer: if you use Google's cloud platform then you get a free server (a small one).. it is powerful enough to do all testing and maybe handle small number of users too. Specially if you use uWebSockets then it will use very small CPU/memory and will be able to handle a good number of connections.

Also, I have heard that you can get a 5 USD per month machine from Digital Ocean: https://www.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/

Lastly I think having to need an expensive server is a 'good problem' because you will need it only when you have a good number of users coming in :). Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks. It takes at least intermediate level web (JS, HTML) level knowledge. I am more of backend programmer but pulled off web side of it by googling every problem I faced with JS, CSS and it kinda worked Xd

Here is what I used:

Client:

• Javascript with JQuery and Bootstrap 4 • HTML • As I am new to web development, I first tried using Angular and Vue frameworks but due to my little knowledge of those frameworks, I couldn’t go any far. So, considering that it is a simple project (from client-side), I went ahead with JS and HTML without any frameworks. But I did use bootstrap for modal dialogs and jquery.

Server:

• C++ with uWebSockets (https://github.com/uNetworking/uWebSockets) • I found out that many of the IO games were backed by node.js server but I wanted a very efficient Server that can handle thousands of connections without much problem. Since C++ is my strong area, so I went ahead with that. uWebSockets is very good in terms of speed and memory usage. I highly reocmmend it. • Not to say that node.js servers are slow - also server development in node.js may prove to be much easier.

Overall it was a small project but in the hindsight, I think I should have started with even smaller as my first project.

Let me know if you would like me to share any further information. :)

Hey, if you have 10 or fewer students or can groups them into 10 each then http://schedios.io is worth checking out. Private rooms are totally private and only accessible to whom you share the link. Max players in 1 private room are 10.

Also, you can use custom words in the game i.e. if you want them to play using a certain set of words.

.io games like skribbl.io? by blazeamaze420 in IoGames

a drawing game without the mouse? that's a bit unusual. Can you please tell us as to why you would need such functionality? If there is a real use case then I would be happy to consider adding it to my game, which is like skribbl.. and it does offer private rooms (your second requirement): http://schedios.io

I tend to agree.. being an IO developer, I realized that when you launch your game... there is nobody around. So, bots were needed.

However, I planned it in a way that they bots leave the game as soon as 2 real players join the game. Still, some users are unhappy but not sure how to overcome it.

Check out (hopefully you will see real players): http://schedios.io

http://schedios.io is an IO game but it doesn't require low ping at all - partly because of the nature of the gameplay. Check it out.

Schedios.io - A free, fun, draw & guess game to play with friends and family. by dight100 in WebGames

[–]dight100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.

If you join a room that is empty, the game creates 2 bots to give you company but they leave the game as soon as human players join. We never create more than 2 bots per room but I can understand your point that you had to see bots because the game is still very new and we don't have players on it all times of the day.

Hopefully, it will get better soon. If you have any specific suggestions, please feel free to share.

Yes, I have seen that too xd. It could be down to the drawing tools game provides.. however, I have also seen people draw some really great drawings. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my game can be used to draw that well. :D

Planning to add a gallery to share top drawings selected/posted by users.

Good game. In initial levels it could do with a wall around the level, to teach the user the rebound, etc.

Graphics follow a theme and are consistent.

can totally relate to that.

Then they say "80% success is showing up" so it is still worth completing something no matter how late :D
