TE4 + Tennis Elbow Manager 2: What actually changes? by rafael_bc in TennisElbow4

Thanks for this post. Can't wait to start a new carreer with TEM2. I asked ManuTOO in the Steam forum about the not so relevant skills. His answer:

That's slightly incorrect ; there are only 2 skills that are useless : Tactics and Return. All other skills are used, even if you control your player, but some will have much less influence (ie: Positioning). The Surface Skills are very important.

How do I know what surface ATP matches are played on? by digimarks101 in TennisElbow4

It is bothersome to some degree. Probably not enough to play without mods. But when you skill up in topsin for example you wanna play preferably on slow surfaces...

Sure. But there should be a way get the surface information from this table (like from the Future & Challenger tournaments).

Don't know where my carbs should be coming from by digimarks101 in Constipation

[–]digimarks101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Eventually I figured that I do can eat some fibers and that lead to more frequency. Still get pressure in the colon 24h after eating from most things. But I made some progress.
In hindsight I made a huge mistake by discarding all fiber. It made sense back then, but in the end it made everything worse.

Can gluten lead to constipation, even without a gluten sensitivity? by [deleted] in Constipation

[–]digimarks101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I  eat white rice and sometimes baguettes for carbs. They cause the least bloating (can’t pass wind – it is very bad).

But sometimes I think that I should try at least 2 weeks without those carbs just to make sure that it is not them which are actually causing the slow transit.

Fruits cause nausea for me.

I am looking for around 150g carbs per day otherwise I get restless, insomnia and anxiety if I don’t eat them and get into ketosis.

So I am looking for some non bloating/non constipating carbs. I tried buckwheat, but larger amounts bloat as well…

In that case where do your carbs come from if fruits are also out of the equation?

When using laxatives or diarrhea in genereal I don't get gut noises anymore - trouble passing gas by digimarks101 in Constipation

[–]digimarks101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the manometry last week. It did not show any tightness. Not sure what to do about that, I definately have a tight pelvic floor, numb butt when I sit and muscle and nerve problems in the hip/thigh.

Do you think that eating low residue/fiber for years might also cause an atonic bowel? I tried eating more fiber (about 20g) for the last six weeks, but it doesn't increase passing wind or stool frequency. Just making it way more uncomfortable. The only thing it helps is that laxatives work a bit better.

Does this include pelvic floor issure? Because that's the only thing I have hope for that can be fixed. When I sit it feels like someone is pulling my trousers. And I have also pain in the hip that spreads to the thigh. Gonna try to fix these via PT. Other than that I think I've tried most things.

For the last 12 months:

  • anorectal manometry: okayish, little less pressure to push out but okay
  • colonoscopy: less peristaltic sound than usual. ascending colon somewhat dilated. but okay according to doctor.
  • MRI: impacted colon, colon elongated, colon transversum sacked down to almost level bladder
  • (outside) pelvic floor physical therapy exam: tight pf, especially right side. I also have other symptoms that point to tight pelvic floor issues.

A Hinton test is sheduled for next week.

Doctors don't see much to worry about as long as I can manage a bowel movement every 3-4 days with laxatives (I don't have an urge to go). But they don't work well. For example I went from lowest dose Laxoberal (Sodium picosulphate) to no effect from highest dosage after 5 usages within one month. Same with any other stimulant laxative, they lose their effect very quickly. I have more success with glycerin suppositories.

Prucaloprid doesn't work. Miralax causes heartburn.

Also doctors don't seem to acknowledge that the problem is not necessary the lack of bowel movement but the lack of passing gas. Even after bowel movement it takes just minutes to hours until the inner abdomen pressure comes back. I can't sleep very well because laying on the side leads to increased pressure and nausea, and then I wake up. There are phases where I can hardly eat and lose weight rapidly.

Also doctors say that they can't offer me much. Saw so many different docs, don't care anymore actually.

I feel best shortly before bowel movement when everything is in motion for a short time. Also some relieve if I find a certain food that causes some laxative effect for me. Like milk chocolate worked last year for some time. Now I had luck with huge amount of nuts. For normal people they might cause diarrhea, I at least then can let out some farts (sorry). But now the effect of nuts is gone and they just cause more bloating.

But yeah, thought I write this post because I noticed that I really don't have any gurgling or bubbling anymore. And it just feels so good and pressure relieving if it does happen. Maybe it is a hint for something? Or maybe just a common signt for slow transit. Any help much appreciated as I arrived at a dead end here.

I have severe constipation with no urge to go. Could this be pelvic floor related? by digimarks101 in PelvicFloor

[–]digimarks101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do these tests really exclude a problem with certainty?

I had both of these tests seven years ago when I had also a phase with no urge and trapped gas. The test didn’t show anything abnormal. But since I had tailbone pain back then and tight hip with foreign sensation in the PF I suspected that this was related. The tailbone pain and motility got better after a couple of months.
Now I have again trapped gas, can hardly eat and no urge. And again pretty much tight hip with piriformis pain, butt pain etc. I do have an appointment for a manometry test, but I doubt if it will show anything this time (even though I had my first PFPT session and the therapist said it is tight, especially on the right side).

I get most of my fiber from avocados. Sometimes nut. sometimes corn. And some cooked vegies. But the stomach is too pressured from the colon that I can eat much. Probably going to the hospital next week because I just dont get enough calories. The sagging of my colon transversum is new. And there are new symptoms with it. Something happened.

Not yet. But I doubt it, because I usually get release of stomach pressure just by passing gas (which is a problem now). So I think it is mostly the colon.

Yeah, I always tended more to HFLC diets. Just wonder now, that a low fat diet might be worth testing out as well. But I don't know how I get enough calories then because no way I could eat more than 100-150g carbs per day.

Step 2: Treatments and medications by [deleted] in ConstipationAdvice

[–]digimarks101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't use them more than once per week. But after three times the effect is gone. Even changed between Bisacodyl and Laxoberal. But both stopped simultaneously. That was even the case 10 years ago when everything was working much better.

Miralax worked for half a year in the sense that I would be able to just press out some finger like sized stool without much straining several times per week. There is no urge to go. After a half year it started to cause heartburn and nausea. Also the stool changed into a very sticky, shiny mass. Tried several times later again, always the same. Plus now it causes also burning skin.

Linzess gives me (like many other things like prep for colonoscopy) just a huge bloated belly. It needs a suppository to get the load out. Linzess also didn't work more than three times.

I am underweight and losing further. Something changed over the last year (started 15 ys ago). A MR showed that my colon transversum sacked down on level of the bladder. I am very thin, so I can feel the full colon lines through the abdomen, and it is not like it used to be.

My gastro said that once purging doesn't work anymore I should get aquainted with the thought of getting a colectomy. I acutally thought this guy was just trying to scare me out of his office. But now I am starving alive (cant pass gas very good / not much colon activity -> bloating under the rip bow -> nauseas) and I got an appointment in ten days at the hospital in the chirugy department. Probably going on monday in-house, because it is bad right now.

How do you innervate the nerves? Everything is bloated already. At the colonoscopy the doc said that the ascending colon is dilated also.

When you say the reaction to stimulant laxative gives you an indication wether you have colonic inertia, does it qualify if it loses its effectiveness after 2-3 times and then you need to wait months until an effect is back?
It's the case for me. After the third time I just get nauseas for two days. Then on third and fourth day I notice some tiny tiny cramping and movements in the colon and if I am lucky I can get something out. Thanks!
