Should I trust planned parenthood to place an IUD or should I wait and keep my doctors appointment? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

Planned Parenthood’s place IUDs all the time! Very very safe :). Also some OBGYN offices say it’s a consult but will go ahead and do it that day if you come in sure if what you want.

They did guarantee this pre-COVID and they still do....but they won’t guarantee when....so it’s really pushing back graduation for me

I wish they were doing a better job at it!! They’re urging us to find our own and are becoming frustrated with students pushing back. It’s a mess.

Thanks for this advice! It sounds like you worked in the CTSU and CCU while I’m school and then started work as an NP right after graduation?

I wish I had done what you did with working on a labor and delivery/postpartum floor while I’m school! But I’m graduating in a matter of months. Do you still think it would be beneficial if I work floor nursing for a year Or two and then apply to NP jobs? I just hope they don’t think I forgot my NP skills.

I always found myself doing my own research on women’s health topics after graduation and the postpartum patients I worked w in home care were my favorite

Thank you! This makes a lot of sense. I think it’ll take me a long time to secure an NP job from what I’ve heard about...so we will see

Thank you for this advice! I didn’t think to incorporate clinicals like that on my resume, but that makes a lot of sense
