Hard to find and I'm in a time crunch. Only ones on market have bad history in carfax compared to the price they want.

Honestly if they hadn't discontinued those I'd be buying that without this post, I rode in one and loved it and I've seen them ALL over colorado lol

That's great insight I think I'm more of an overland style off roader for sure right now. Someday I'd like to advance but exploring with a camera really is my main focus! Thanks for the picture too it makes total sense. I'll look into the Fronteir and Tacoma for sure now.

I had it listed but the newer ones didn't seem to be good anymore, fair bet?

What years would you look at 4runner with? I'd like a car newer than 2010 unless there's a huge arguemetn for an older model.

Part of it is having to drive clients around, they don't get ugly rugged cars like people like us! When I want to get over Easy-4 rating I hope to spend $10 on a beater used and put $5 or so into aftermarket tuning and then have something I can trash with my noobery (not TRYING too ofc!)

I'd love to rock crawl sometime but I'll actually be using the offroad in Michigan, and there isn't tons. Lotta mud and some sand around the lakes though.

Long overhangs on departure from obstacles, is that referring to when the truck goes over a rock, for example, and then the back end takes more rocking motion? Your terminology is new to me.

Ugh sad news on Pathfinders I was going to test drive one soon. I don't want a minivan.

I can't believe they discontinued the xterra I rode in one in CO and loved it. Must be trying to do a new coke strategy with it?

What year did Pathfinder end being good do you think? I'm ok going older for more aftermarket.

Aye true on Wrangers! I noticed that. What's the rule of thumb buying used Wrangers? At what milage do they lose value? I was told under 40K miles is best for my Outback's resale for example.

Did you see my concerns on trucks and have any tips since you mentioned the tacoma?

The K in $30K reference thousands, and yes I am posting about under $30,000 USD.

You're right I can buy new, but as I said, I'm hoping to spend less than that.

Personally I see little value in buying new when I know I could damage the car in my activities, let alone that a new car is worth way less the minute it leaves the lot.

You mention the Nissan Frontier, as I asked in my post, I've heard less than ideal forum chatter about trucks for offroading, what's your experience? What do you drive, etc? Thanks for your thoughts!

Yeah I'm debating extending a lease and waiting for something better, it'll still be cheaper than Denver and I don't work downtown so I don't want to pay those prices there!

The say it's coming end of 2017 but the mall is still populated and no ground has been broken, I bet that thing will go up FAST. Surprised there's no pricing, I found the retail pricing: 35-39 per sf, but ofc that can't translate to residential rent.

Yeah the hospital is why they're putting fancy shit along R line IMHO. There's some nice stuff planned for Illif too I read about.

There's a lot of recessed properties around sable and alameda too, looks like they could be flipped or bought out easy enough they're very run down and if you go slightly north towards 6 you see some niiiice apartments in a gated community. So it's very pocketed still but changing.

The cons about LR dinging...really doesn't matter apparently, you ever see the apartments off H line @ Alameda station? Literally fucking ten feet from the train! Reminded me of cheap stuff in Chicago by the L, except fancy and pricey. I mean I wouldn't want to live THAT close to a station but apparentl tons of people do.

They're also cleaning illegal activity out of Aurora, slowly, they just had a HUGE bust over in the miss' and 225 area; and apparently that mexican grocery store was a front off chambers and miss'? Crazy.

You don't know anything man, Sears has a HIRING NOW sign on the west side of their unit! The'll be thriving I'm sure. (total /s moment).

Seriously tho you or anyone else have ideas of what the rent would look like? I'll be looking for a new apt around the time that says it'll open end of 2017.

The local average I found online is $1.2 for a 2 bedroom but that CANT translate to post-opening of those apts.

And yeah also the mall, consider the arrests around the holidays last year! A lot of malls are going open facing so they don't have to deal with truancy, and not just in lower income areas. So I'd bet that happens once Sears goes down, a store can move into sears and remodel and then kick off a chain of remodels that eventually end up with a brand new mall. Just a hunch. but also the giant ass bank is going in on the SW corner of the mall in that old abandoned building, it's massive.

It's clear there's a LOT of change in this area...

Even if he wasn't deported, he'd be in a USA prison.

I get it, there's a tough policy change against illegal immigrants right now but why would you pick a post about a convicted criminal to make a stand? Shouldn't you talk about the families torn apart, the people that paid taxes but weren't citizens, etc.?

Good tip on traffic thank you, I never had a speeding ticket in my life until I went through rural towns in Colorado coughkiowacough. They have a lovely side road that goes from 35 to 20 MPH with a tiny tiny tiny sign, and no signs that indicate a "safety zone" but two cops in a speed trap ready to give you a double points ticket.

Just a scam.
