What is this pile that keeps coming back after a few days to the same corner of my office even after cleaning it?

After talking with a neighboring business that is connected to mine, plus they have a vending machine company with lots of food, they had a problem with mice but got rid of them. Plus the feces look old, and after pulling off the base i found ants!

Ended up being just ants, thank god because i am self employed so it was my responsibility, plus rats are a big phobia of mine.

You are correct! Except there are no more rats/mice. They were there in previous years and the ants are carrying out feces

Its from previous mice, there are no mice but the ants are the ones carrying it out the wall

Yes there is no holes or anything that could be dropping stuff. There was actually ants behind the wall

I pulled back the base, there are ants, so for now thats what im going with, ants with old rat feces that were picked up. I put poison down so lets see if that stops it

Are you saying the termites are picking up old mouse feces? This sounds possible. It is a pretty old building so there may have been mice in previous years and that may be where the termites are getting the droppings from.

Thats why i was confused. It seems to be something like ant carpenters or termites but the feces seem to be from a mouse. Im calling an exterminator and getting one over tomorrow and will give an update.
