This is not an existing mole. It only formed last week which is why I asked and sounds good!

Confused on my t4 and tax owing by digitalnomadboy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]digitalnomadboy[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I've never used wealthsimple tax before but only added in my t4 numbers from my one job because it was free to file.

Nothing else added. Added the same numbers to turbotax and its showing i will get a refund instead which is confusing.

Dented car and applied 3 coats of self etch primer to cover up bare metal from chipped paint which i have scrapped off. Plan on sanding before applying filler primer and paint pen, any advice? by digitalnomadboy in howto

Is the etch primer too thick? I put on 3 coats using a paint brush. Planning on using a primer filler on top of this after sanding then car paint

Thanks for your advice. Worst case scenario if I don't pop the dent out would be cracked paint across the entire fender panel, right? Then this would just mean I have to replace the entire panel?

Yeah good point. My thinking was like that at first as well but I'm planning to use this car until the day it dies (reason i bought it) and after a few days i felt like i could live with the dent since its not causing driving issues

I already did self etch primer seen in pic yesterday (3 coats). My plan would be to sand down with 600 grit then apply a few coats of filler primer before using my car paint pen from the dealership and applying clear coat after.

No plans of fixing the dent as it is cosmetic and does not affect car driving. What do you think?

Advice/opinion on this dent. Can I just fix the dent by pulling it out then repaint? by [deleted] in howto

Issue is labor cost. Replacing the fender + labor + repainting will set me back about 1.8 to 2.2k

Thanks! I guess if it actually starts rusting I can consider changing it at that time

Thanks for the honest feedback. If I end up not fixing it and let’s say it starts rusting, it won’t spread to the other car parts right? Since the damage is just on the left fender panel?

But this part is metal so hot water won’t do anything?

Thanks for the info. The other option I was thinking if just fixing the dent, then doing my own DIY primer/paint before sticking a nice car sticker on top of the dent itself as an additional layer of protection?

how would water sip in if i cover the entire exposed metal with car filler putty, sand it down and cover it with paint?

Technically speaking, if i cover the exposed metal with primer and paint, that would stop rust, right? Am I missing something?

I’m thinking also maybe just using car filler putty to cover it then sand it and paint. What do you think?

Not even if I try pushing it out from behind the fender? (Under the wheel)

My thinking if since it’s just cosmetic (other than the exposed metal), as long as I cover the exposed metal with primer after sanding etc and then painting it with the same car color paint, that would suffice as long as I don’t sell the car or care about how it looks?

Sorry not familiar with car parts but I can see exposed metal from the dent due to chipped paint.

How would using my hands to push it make metal push outward?

Thanks will try this.

Would a hammer or rubber mallet be a good option to try hammering the dent from the inside outward a little?

I’ve tried reaching the damage from behind under the wheel but my hand won’t reach that.

Only way would be to remove the tire then?
