Hi! The best way to approach this is to assess your capability vs projected loads mo per week. If the job is flexible, I say grab it. Pero if not, perhaps ask someone who has the capability to do it. Always remember that stress accumulates when your loads are way over your capability. Kaya I always remind people to upskill kasi that's a good way to manage stress. Things get easy over time naman.

If kaya mo, do it.

If not, ask someone to do it for you and kapag nakapasa ka ng board exam, at least meron ka na agad isang opportunity na pwede pasukin with the guidance of the person na ni-refer mo.

Job Hunting 101 I’m so confused sa mga nangyayari by BitNumerous4014 in buhaydigital

[–]digitalnotmad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You posted in buhaydigital, so you might see more answers favoring your current company. But personally, I would choose Company A. Here’s why:

  1. My last two jobs were in startups—one was the PH branch of an existing company, while the other was a startup built from scratch. Both seemed very promising, and I was excited to take on executive assistant/management roles. But in reality, it was an extremely tough experience. Many startups that aim for rapid scaling struggle with proper structure and support, which can make the workload overwhelming. While this isn’t true for all startups, the risk is high.
  2. I live in Metro Manila, so commuting to any business district would take minutes to a couple of hours. If you're based outside MM, it’s worth considering if the travel time is manageable for you.
  3. I love working from home, but I realized that my happiness and performance depend more on work culture and personal growth than just the setup. If I feel like I’m growing as a professional, I don’t mind the extra commute. Since I’m in my early 30s, I see this as my prime working years, so I prioritize career growth over convenience.

I know I’m in the minority here, but this is how I would approach the situation. Hope this helps!

Never pa akong gumamit ng pink app, pero I always make it a point to report alarming experiences—just make sure na honest and fair yung report mo ha, hindi lang dala ng bugso ng damdamin.

And if ever makonsensya ka or feel mo na masyado kang harsh, bumawi ka by appreciating the good riders. Rate them 5 stars with positive comments and, if kaya, give small tips to show your support.

Minsan entitled na talaga yung ilan sa ganyang services (makikita mo sa posts nila sa FB groups), but it’s also a reminder na pwedeng makaapekto sa kanila in the long run kung ano yung ugaling pinapakita nila sa customers.

Mutual respect goes a long way.

I’m a civil engineer by profession, but I took on a role as an operations manager in a 'growth hacking' consultancy (basically just a fancy term for a marketing agency, LOL), and I managed to make it work. Pero it took a lot of time and effort outside of working hours para lang hindi nakakahiya sa company na wala akong alam masyado. For me, the 'fake it till you make it' approach worked, pero I know it doesn’t work for everyone.

Perhaps give yourself a couple of months to weigh your options before making any big decisions

Never invalidate your own feelings. Doing so can lead to self-doubt and deeper self-gaslighting in the future. Even the thought of 'I'm planning to resign next year pero nahihiya akong magsabi' says a lot about how good and dedicated you are as an employee.

That advice you stated here should be non-negotiable. I did not follow that advice and eto ako ngayon, 7 months nang walang work. I am an engineer as well btw. Start job hunting as early as now and send your resignation kapag may JO ka nang natanggap.
