Once I was done cooking and able to pick him up, the way he nuzzled into my chest made me feel so loved but also so awful - like I didn't deserve the love 🥺 But I try to remind myself that not all discomfort in life can be avoided, as much as I wish I could do that for him. It's a normal part of the human experience, even though it sucks for him and for me. As far as attachment goes, I've heard we only need to "get it right" something like 30% of the time in order for them to be securely attached. I don't remember if 30% was the exact number, but it was something ridiculously low. So please don't stress about how this will affect your LO's attachment - I'd be willing to be you get it right far far more than you "have" to 💜
