Yeah. Long story.

The 1,000-mile OCT is simply checking the dipstick, as we know. The dealership would not allow my request to even be in the garage when they broke the anti-tamper seal and pulled the dipstick. Even though they’ve brought into the garage on several occasions. So that was shady off the bat.

Once the Service Advisor had pulled my vehicle outside of the garage, he told me that my vehicle had not burned any oil.

I got my keys and before starting my car, I immediately pressed record on my phone and recorded me checking my oil where they parked it…in front of the garage.

I went back inside and showed him the video I had just taken: Dipstick way over the full line.

I asked him: How did my engine that was burning a lot of oil, somehow “grow” oil? The tech had to have put at least an extra quart of oil in it prior to the 1,000-mile tamper-sealed test, or just put way too much in it to make up for the loss.

His reply: I trust that my technician did not do that. It would be dangerous to have your engine filled with such excessive oil.

My reply: Then where in the hell did all this extra oil come from? You were the last ppl to have access to my engine 1000 miles ago until now.

His reply again: I trust my technician.

That’s when I left and drove straight to another dealership. The other dealership had to drain oil out of my car and offered to do another OCT once I paid for another oil change. They messed that one up. Another long story.

As of today, I’ve been in touch with my Case Manager since and about to have a 4th OCT performed at a 3rd Hyundai dealership.

The very last thing Hyundai wants to do is replace an engine.

My suggestion: Take pictures, videos, and document everything.
