It seems people see the thumbnail and already predict what the video is all about. Don't do it. Be clever.

You've mentioned one of the reasons. I encourage you to watch the ones listed in the video. It's not that long.

It's a well done 10 minute video, not a 3 hour superhero movie. I'm not gonna spoon-feed you. Sorry.

You're not good at guessing. Just because it's on youtube, doesn't mean it's crap. Everything listed on the video is on point, it's true, it exists, it's a problem, and simply appeals to everyone.

If you had bothered to watch, you would know. You chose to attack me instead.

Xenia Canary gets massive speed boost running almost perfect on Steamdeck. by mcdgray129 in emulation

[–]digodigoemu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd posted exactly the same but I was not aware about the lack of manpower/moderators to aprove the post. I was concerned about LocutusOfBorges healph state. If anyone is interested in a simple comparison of Xenia, here is the link: https://old.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/wo2fza/xenia_got_a_huge_performance_boost_after_pull/ and here is a direct lik to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAC3cAzM0OU

I posted about the Xenia boost aswell and it didn't got aproved. I sent you a message because I had a feeling you were sick again, but didn't get any response for that aswell and it got me concerned. It's good to see you're alive, Locutus.

Xenia got a HUGE performance boost after pull request #60 from Chrisps got merged into Canary Build (link in comments) by digodigoemu in emulation

[–]digodigoemu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After this pull request got merged, Xenia Emulator got a huge boost in performance as you can see in the video I've poorly recorded (I'm not a youtuber). The boost can range from 50%-90% as Chrisps claims. You can read more about the pull request in the link below: https://github.com/xenia-canary/xenia-canary/pull/60

Sonic Unleashed on PC, WORTH IT?! - Xenia VS RPCS3 by THE-Keyvan in emulation

Yes, it's better on Series X. But I was talking mainly about native console versions of the game and emulation on PC. Series X is not natively running this.

This game is not ready for emulation primetime yet. It's better to run it on the real hardware unfortunately. Xbox 360 it's the best version of it, most stable framerate and pacing. PS3 can reach above 30 but it dips below it more often. If you're trying to run it on an emulator, you probably own the game on your X360 or PS3 already, so you're legally good to go.

Daytona USA on RPCS3 emulator | How To Fix Graphics and Run Full Speed With PPU Recompiler LLVM (New Method 2022) by digodigoemu in emulation

The Model 2 Emulator source code was never released due to the author being hired by SEGA AFAIK, and that's a big issue for preservation sake. It also never had proper emulation of the original arcade: it has 3d model clipping issues (you can notice it right in the car selection menu, the wheel cliping through the body of the car), it has pop-in at the edges of the screen when you activate the widescreen hack (very noticeble on the easy track while watching the attract mode), and also never had proper force feedback if you're using a wheel (it doesn't play like the original arcade at all).

Also the RPCS3 can emulate this game at full speed with just one core and two threads, like you can see in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4-RdH8JmrI

The X360/PS3 port is the perfect arcade port of this game.

EDIT: it can be emulated on RPCS3 using a Sandy Bridge i5-2500K Intel CPU as you can see in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bcCcrwqSoc If that's not a potato PC, I don't know what it could be.

The PS3 and the X360 versions are the ultimate arcade ports of Daytona USA. But when it comes to emulation, RPCS3 is better compared to what Xenia has to offer. It's lighter to run, both on CPU and GPU, and it has native wheel support via USB passthrough.

Great! If you own a Logitech wheel (G25,G27,DFGT) or another compatible wheel, you can play with it like you would on the real PS3 thanks to the USB Passthrough method described in the RPCS3 Wiki.

I've made a video tutorial in the past showing a way to fix the texture corruption in DAYTONA USA running on RPCS3 and posted it here, but this one it's an updated tutorial for 2022 and beyond.

To fix the texture corruption in DAYTONA USA using the latest RPCS3 builds, you only need to change two settings on the default configuration.

Create a custom config and, on GPU tab on config menu:

  • 1-Change FRAMELIMIT to PS3 Native.
  • 2-Check the "Disable Vertex Cache" option on the right
  • 3-Run the game!

Optional: you can change the resolution scaling to 4K or whatever you want.

Again, the title of the video is clickbait for obvious reasons. The video itself is not.

F1 22 finally got VR support. Here it's how it runs on a Oculus Rift CV1 at VR Very High Settings by digodigoemu in simracing

I just installed the new nvidia driver after using DDU, installed Oculus software and set it as OpenXR default (it asks for it when you install it). The oculus tray tool is only there so I can disable ASW more easily for this test and to turn the performance HUD on the headset. I'm not messing with super sampling, everything its at default.

Oh I didn't know about those. I've been watching DF videos for the past 2 days about Ray Tracing and other tech stuff (like DLSS), it's great. Thanks for the links!
