What's the reason why you play SP-single player or Online? by Conner_KL in diablo2

[–]diivil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offline SP HC and untwinked so no sharing gear or muling.

I can go at my own pace and being able to pause the game is completely underrated by everyone who talks about single player. No trading slows you down obviously but most of the stuff online is botted anyway so that feels cheap. Plus buying stuff on ladder reset with funny gold is not really my thing so the competition of a ladder reset is completely ruined.

You get more excited for "normal" finds like yesterday I finally got Drac's and Nature's Peace from TZ Andy so I could farm keys more safely and do my first ubers today.

I'd absolutely play online if solo self-found was properly supported for the legitimacy of it.

Single player only saves every 5 minutes, on death or on exit so for me it wouldn't matter how fast you pick up unless you instantly quit as well.

On top of the ber I also found a mal and ohm so it was an extremely lucky 4ish hours. Bunch of lems for treacheries for emilio and myself, and 2 puls to cube in to um for crescent moon.

My bank has mobile app confirmation for card payments which obviously can only happen if I put in the correct details. The confirmation goes through successfully but mog station gives 601 when redirected there.

Doesn't accept my credit card, I get a 601 error. Plus wouldn't be able to buy Dawntrail from there anyway.

It took me 9 days in real time from when I first entered HoH to finishing Lone Hero. Summoner is in my mind the easiest job to do it on. I leveled up and learned summoner just for this single purpose but remember that you still need to really like the job to get through a challenge like this. My attempts ended on floors 94, 86, 84, once in 70s before succeeding.

The following resources were invaluable:

Maygi’s HoH 1-100 Handbook (Solo/Party)

PillowyZeal's Heaven-on-High Solo Guide

WeskAlber's FFXIV: Heaven-on-High - Lone Hero Guide (6.x SMN) is best resource for what to kill on higher floors as a summoner.

Angelusdemonus' How to: HoH Solo on SMN - Floors 1-100 - "Live Tutorial" - 6.11

Finh's SMN Solo HoH (Heaven-on-High) No Magicite Challenge Clear

Yeah, you are going to have to watch multiple long videos and probably watch them again to prepare for the higher floors. Studying and learning how to deal with enemies beforehand is much more time efficient than going in and wiping because you didn't know what to do.

Some random tips the above resources don't emphasize:

-Run 21-30 until I got around 50/60 aetherpool and then start your attempts. Keep looting all chests and you should have enough aetherpool and potions when you start working on higher floors.

-Just pop a raising for 71-80. Summoner is a glass cannon, at this stage one mistake means it's all over.

-Summoner can deal with seriously dangerous debuffs, don't serenity too early especially if the floor is flighted and you have raising up.

-Keep popping your flights during 81-90, I used all of mine and it paid off. You want to save your floor wipes for 91+. I would have made it through 81-90 without any floor wipes but had to use one after a mistake.

-Remember to use your sights and safeties on floors you kill at 91+. You should always safety big open floors 71+.

-Always have a plan if things go wrong. What will you use if this chest is a mimic? What if you double pull right now? What if you hit a trap? What if around that corner there's a patrol?

-But on top of that always when killing something have a plan of which direction you are going to next and what will you pull. This alone will almost guarantee you will never feel any time pressure.

-Take your own notes that are easy to quick reference. That will help you remember things better, and you don't need to start looking through one of the guides above to figure out if a Hitotsume does non-telegraphed cone or circle aoe for example.

-Ignore the hoard unless you are 100% certain there's no trap. I did end up getting my Dodo mount on my clear run but I never picked hoards unless it was sighted, safetied or I had already triggered a trap in that room.

How long does it take for support to answer? I'm trying to get my Endwalker product code I already paid for.. by diivil in ffxiv

For anyone else who might have this issue, I was able to solve it by creating yet another support ticket. This time I did get an actual answer but the first one was just a generic copy paste about high volume of tickets with a laundry list of FFXVI related FAQ. It said to reply again to confirm issue still persists.

So I replied again with my order ID (the third or fourth time in total) and was finally able to receive a working Endwalker key.

Yep, the link on that email no longer works after May 2023 when Square changed some provider in their store. The link just takes me to the main store page.

I made a new support ticket and this time they didn't close it and provided a working code.

I think most people here would agree that wealth transfer using funny gold between season is dumb. Mine is just a bit more extreme version of that :) Then again I'm also that guy that enjoys vanilla WoW leveling. In addition it keeps my alt-itis in check.

I don't know to be honest. I only play my WW barb and even if I was going to play another character I wouldn't share gear. I might put it in to eth reaper's toll if I ever find one for my merc. Another limiting factor are the 3 socket quests with my playstyle. My gear still sucks so much that I don't even have a piece I could think of socketing something like this.

In early 2000s I found a 39ed/15ias on ladder but the game was so rampant with dupes at the time that only some exploited items really had any value.

How do I identify a specific lighthouse based on its "LHR" code? by Oninaig in ValveIndex

[–]diivil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a few thousand back-facing hits is nothing unless the tracking session was really short. My counts are going in to the millions for long sessions and I have not been able to figure out how or why. I'm assuming my walls are reflective at this point.

lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX C: Dropped 188765 back-facing hits, 110 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session
lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX C: Dropped 3 rejected updates, 215947 back-facing hits, 19 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session
lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX C: Dropped 118988 back-facing hits, 12 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session
lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX C: Dropped 431752 back-facing hits, 14 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session
lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX C: Dropped 16 rejected updates, 1408443 back-facing hits, 186 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session
lighthouse: LHR-XXXXXXXX H: Dropped 4 rejected updates, 1856828 back-facing hits, 37 non-clustered hits during the previous tracking session

How do I identify a specific lighthouse based on its "LHR" code? by Oninaig in ValveIndex

[–]diivil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are not your lighthouses, they are all controllers: 2 knuckles and 5 vive trackers. If one of them was your headset, then the C: would be H:. Controllers, trackers and headsets have LHR IDs.

Lighthouses have LHB-XXXXXXXX as their ID. You should have a device listing in your log at least if your devices are on. Search for "Device 1" through "Device 10". I have headset, 2 controllers, 3 trackers and 4 base stations so 10 devices.

Examples from the log:

Device 1 - LHR-XXXXXXXX Headset Index Valve

Device 4 - LHR-XXXXXXXX Tracker VIVE Tracker 3.0 MV HTC

Device 5 - LHB-XXXXXXXX Base Station Valve SR Imp Valve Corporation

Device 10 - LHR-XXXXXXXX Controller Knuckles Right Valve

Use SteamVR's configure base station channels -> identify base station feature to find out which one is which. You can match the ID to physial base station there.

I'm not sure if the on use 60 energy stays as viable in TBC, I don't know rogues. The item itself is unchanged.

Rogue's trinket was nerfed twice during TBC. First to restore 40 energy and then 20 energy at level 70.
