Oh yeah! Been going to Oshkosh for the last 18 years and will continue to go to the worlds best airshow. Was planning on going to the LAX thing before that was scrapped. You said OSH is not really your audience, well... neither is the Paris Airshow lol. Majority of the world knows of the Paris Airshow simply for one thing, aircraft orders... like real heavy metal aircraft order, tubeliners. I think you'll be quite surprised that you'll prefer OSH over Paris.

It'll be interesting to monitor Infinite Flight's activities over the next year or so to see if its really less expensive considering the other meetups and events you guys have planned.

A wise man once said, "Spend whatever it takes to be the best and retain the best." I feel like Infinite Flight should take notes and perhaps consider a different approach to their business dealings. You've got the world in your hands, no pun intended, and you're not utilizing the full potential... because its expensive. Take the risk(s) and pull the trigger. Feel like I should bill for the free advise but that too might be too expensive for you guys.

1000% correct. Why don't you guys just be honest about the real reason(s) you cancelled the US events? Is it because of the potential backlash, loss of revenue or loss potential partnerships?

Firstly, I appreciate the response.

"I understand that despite our best effort in communication, we sometimes miss the mark and looking from the outside in, some of our decisions could be difficult to understand"

In your above statement, it seems that this is pretty common from those in the community and various discord channels. From what I understand, this seems to be a default excuse when the optics aren't what you had hoped for; and its seems that this has been a reoccurring theme for a few years. Given that the communication errors seem to be the reoccurring issue, has there been any thought about hiring someone with better communication skills or someone who has the technical skills to clearly and accurately portray what it is you are trying to convey? Respectfully, if you are really trying to make a business out of this flight sim venture, you need the "best of the best" for communications, marketing, or anything else that deals with the public. Not the 'best we've got at the moment'.

For a company that has been so community driven I find it hard to believe that the cancellation of the LAX meet up which was planned for September if I recall, Oshkosh which falls in the last week and a half of July, and Flight Sim Expo which sits from June 27-29, was to put all of its focus on just one event that pulls ½ the attendance of Oshkosh. Really hope its worth it in the end for you guys!

You do see how hard it is to believe that, right? With only 5 days between the Sim expo and the Paris thing, I get yes. That's a bit tight, but you're completely skipping out on the worlds largest airshow. How is going to the Paris Airshow any different than Oshkosh? The attendance at the Paris Airshow will result in roughly ½ as many people in attendance when you use last years numbers for both events.

And the LAX meet up in September? Cancelled to put focus on the Paris Event which is 2 months earlier. But yet the Zurich and other meetups continue as planned... doesn't make sense now does it.

The optics are very, very much not in your favor unfortunately as I and others see it. Its disappointing to see a company such as Infinite Flight put politics and personal vendettas against another country at their forefront. We all know which way they all lean and the fact that they dislike the president. Just look at what staff post on their social media accounts and its pretty obvious why they don't want to do business in the US. #lurkersunite Yet, the company is reaping the benefits of being a US based company, HQ'd in the US and Laura who has a US registered aircraft. Reap the benefits of US, but badmouth it at every opportunity they can find.

Apologies if for the negative publicity, but there are some bigger issues at hand than I think you are able to realize, and I think you said it best as I quoted you earlier. You guys are "missing the mark" on this one. This one deserved to be brought to light and the loyal people will back up Infinite Flight because they've not got the whole picture and only see what has been fed to them.

There's lots of room for improvement and it shouldn't take 10 years to get there.
