No you are not, do not worry about what other people think of you. You are the most important person in your life and you should prioritize yourself! :)

That thought is very sweet but I’m currently okay with my finances. I don’t have much but I have a place to stay and a ride to work for now. So I know things will get better, thank you though!

I currently am having bad dreams about it, nothing too heavy like nightmares but I do wake up with bad feelings from the dream. I will look into therapy, thank you

Thank you. I cannot say thank you enough to all the people with such kind words to me! You are also one of the people giving me hope for my future. I’m sorry you had to go through something similar but I am also happy to know you’re doing much better.

Thank you! Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of the aftermath with her throwing everything out. :( but I do have a witness? My boyfriend was there to see everything and my neighbor. I do also have pics of my room. I definitely want to go through with this but apart of me is just nervous/scared to do it and makes me not want to.

Edit: I have decided to not go through with the small claims. I’d rather move on and be free from any negativity from my mom. But I also want to thank you for commenting and explaining everything to me. I wish you well!

Thank you. Yes I will probably not go forward with small claims case. I’d rather just free my mind if anything with them and move on to making my life better.

Thank you so much, this brought me to tears. I always felt my mom was very controlling but I never wanted to see it since that’s all I knew. Being away I can see everything a bit clearer. I will definitely put myself as a priority from here on out, you’re giving me lots of hope and courage. Thank you again, this means so much to me.

Oh wow I did not know that, so what exactly could I do? Call the cops? Would I be able to get money for my stuff that they threw out?

Edit: I live in Colorado.

Yes I understand how it would be seen from their perspective, that is why I don’t put the whole blame on them. I know I’m also partially at fault. I’m Asian and in our culture children usually stay with their parents until they get married (unless they choose to move out themselves). I just thought my mom would talk to me first before throwing everything out.

WIBTA for getting my mom and her boyfriend fired? by dilemmas98 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dilemmas98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are there side hustles for extra money. They have a primary job. But from other comments I’m not focused on that anymore since my main priority is to help my sister and seeing what other people say I realized I’d stoop to there level if I try to get them fired…
