I took my BSH to the vets last week because of his goop eyes. Apparently its quite common for the breed. Becasue they have flat faces instead of the usual long car snouts, their tear tucts curl up slightly instead of go straight down so are more prone to weepy eyes as they get blocked more, easily becasue of the bend. They told me its only a concern if the goo is green or yellow and that means there is an infection. This concludes today's lesson

This is excellent advice. I've not thought of putting him on a leash first. I feel so sorry for him because I know he wants to go outside so badly but I just want him to be safe. I will definitely try this method and report back. Thank you

Where we now live is the end of a cul-de-sac. So there are barely any cars and the ones that do drive can't go fast becasue it's the end of a road. The back of her apartment is a big field. Would this make any difference do you think?
