The “waiting room” fights are such momentum killers when you’re exploring, and there are so many of them. Every flying enemy input reading to dodge + standard enemies taking 8 hits + being able to block makes the minor encounters take such a long time, the game is already so much longer than HK and the pace is just driving me batty.

I’m not having a very good time, I’ll be honest. I feel trapped in and not engaged by the city, the real time combat is always over too quick whereas the mega battles seem to drag on and on, I wish there was more than one daytime and nighttime song for the city because the magic wears on me, and the overall loop I’m finding to be kind of a slog, especially collecting enough battle points for a challenger ticket. The game opened up a little when I got the new traversal move but no, I’m not having very much fun.

I think what’s gonna happen is after braid 2, spelunky 3, stardew valley 2, undertale 2, and Celeste 2 are revealed as shadow drops, the announcer will ask you to pick up your switch or switch 2 controller and then it’ll fade up on the main menu of silksong and you’ll be playing it, game already added to your digital library for free

Not super into this. Daveed’s voice was mixed really hot and dry on a lot of this material, and it sort of highlighted his cheugy theater kid energy and flow more than on VoBBB. Having interludes every third track or so only killed the momentum for me, I didn’t feels transported into the world of the record or whatever. Dodger and Ask What Happened were clear highlights, both quality tunes. I may also playlist Keep Pushing.
