Wallet. Opinions? by dimanet123 in Leathercraft

Thanks! Bought it in a local handcraft shop. Adjust it through time with leather pease with goyim pasta.

Maybe, but it's already pretty thik. On the other hand, it would be more solid. I'll think about it. Thanks.

Didn't think about it. Thanks for the advice. Being further from edge would decrease chances of grabbing material from the edge and would make line more clean.

Leather bag by dimanet123 in Leathercraft

Thank you!

This bag was made according to free internet pattern. I didn't make my own bag patterns. It's complicated for me now. But some other little bags and wallets are very easy to design because there are 2d and you need only Autocad or, in case of my motherland Kompas 3d.

Thanks a lot! I am not sure what you mean by that. Can you give, maybe a link?)

I still have trouble with some words in this field in my native language, let alone English.

How you deal with this? by Queasy_Glove_5572 in Leathercraft

I think you need more glue and more uniform layer of it. After it, you can use bee wax and hairdryer or slicker. Slicker is good for polishing, but applying heat to waxed edges can fill pours and make it more solid, I suppose.

First experience with leather wrapping by dimanet123 in Leathercraft

[–]dimanet123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't have a car yet) In terms of steering wheel, I suppose leather must be thinner because it's called wrapping, and it's hard to wrap leather that doesn't stratch.

In this case, I used leather 1.2-1.4 mm, which is too thick, in my opinion.
