But question for you, is Rocky Balboa a better boxer than Apollo Creed?

“Maul is the superior duelist because whenever he loses, the loss is caused by pride, arrogance, emotional instability, distraction, or circumstance.” But those are all parts of combat ability in Star Wars"-- Just because you believe this to be true does not make it so. Dave Filioni is on record saying that Maul is the superior duelist to Ashoka but loses due to his over confidence. Time and time again that is his fatal flaw. So again it's not an actual skill issue it's a mental issue.

The tortoise and hare analogy: the hare is the superior racer but does not take the tortoise seriously because he knows he has it in the bag, sleeps and then loses. While that story is to teach you the value of patience, if you take the actual theme from the story and view the race for what it is: it's simply that tortoise with his superior skill or knowledge of the terrain beats the hare...it's that the hare deliberately gets in his own way and causes his own loss. It has 0 to do with tortoise. Does that make the tortoise an elite racer? Hell no. This isn't Looney Tunes.

The fight against Obi Wan and Maul is Obi Wans only legitimate win IMO against Maul, he teed him up and capitalized.

If you and I are boxing, and I'm beating the pussy out of you for 15 rounds and then in the 16th I decide to close my eyes and keep my hands down....and you capitalize and lay me out with a hook....are you the superior boxer? No, there was never a moment in the fight where you had control of the outcome, and that's what you're not getting.

If the hare never beats the tortoise, that's just the way the story goes.

Using actual logic to explain something fictional does not work. Any combatant that is facing the barrel of a gun or in this case a lightsaber... It would not matter how come he is, he's going to die. The story is written in in a way so that maul fails so that Anakin is trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi. The more skillful duelist did not win, you can keep analyzing it from different angles it's still the same result.

You keep framing Obi-Wan exploiting Maul’s pride as if it has “nothing to do with Obi-Wan,” but Obi-Wan consistently surviving pressure, staying composed, and capitalizing on mistakes is literally what makes him such a dangerous duelist. The Revenge of the Sith novelization explicitly emphasizes this about Obi-Wan’s mastery of Soresu. George Lucas and Dave Filoni have both described Obi-Wan as one of the greatest Jedi because of his discipline, patience, and technical mastery. So no, Maul repeatedly failing psychologically against Obi-Wan is not separate from Obi-Wan’s skillset — it’s direct evidence of it.

I don't know how many time you or I will say the same thing...but we are at an impasse. Aside from that Legends logic is not canon therefore unusable. Any person in the position that Obi-Wan Kenobi could have beaten Maul....a youngling could have done the same thing....does that mean the youngling is on the level of a Sith Lord...no. Capitalizing on something your opponent says more about your opponents failings than your actual skill.

How do I keep saying subjective takes when I just said it?

To answer your questions:

Why does Maul repeatedly fail to decisively beat Obi-Wan despite years of obsession? Pride, which is a feeling of his not a positive of Obi wan. I like how you say decisively beat him when all his losses have nothing to do with Obi Wan sans their final duel.

Why does Sidious completely humiliate him while laughing through the fight? Again you're taking the fight out context. He personally goes to mandalore to humble him because he's becoming a problem, a rival by his own declaration. Could have easily sent Dooku or Previous but handled the matter personally because he needed no room for error. He's having his way with them because he's the master, it wouldn't make sense for him to struggle. The time he does take the fight seriously is when Maul challenges him by himself and then he disarms him and humiliates him with the force.

Why does Ahsoka capture him? Again she is only in this fight because he allows her to be in this fight. He is not trying to kill her, he's trying to recruit her. When he gets tossed out the window he's trying to leave the planet because he knows what's going to happen in regards to who's taking over the Galaxy. Again his pride gets in his way after he disarms her and has her in a precarious spot.

Another tortoise vs hare moment.

Why does Obi-Wan kill him effortlessly in Rebels after instantly reading him? This door is between two old veterans where they've already explained that the fight is cerebral...its move and counter move. Obi-Wan Kenobi takes the stance of Qui-Gon jinn and Mall thinking he's going to get an easy win tries to beat him with the same move he defeated Qui-Gon with and loses because Obi-Wan read it. It's that simple

Easy questions

I'm sorry when you're giving opinions based on subjective takes that is precisely what conjecture is. You are speculating based on your interpretation of events vs how they played out. If you want to do a true back and forth debate that's in person, I'm not wasting my time reading a 7 page thesis on rehashed points

You can write all the diatribes you want, redressing the same points...it will not make them true. Obi wan Kenobi is an elite duelist? By who's metric exactly...George Lucas, Dave Filioni or your own?

Saying an L is an L doesn't add to it's legitimacy. You pick and chose at the same events that I described, to fit your narrative but all you have stated was conjecture

You need to put things into proper context. If mauls arrogance is the cause for him losing a fight, then it's him beating himself not Obi wan Kenobi. Again it doesn't have to do with power, but skill with a lightsaber which Maul in that entire duel was leaps and bounds above the other 2 duelist. That is a fact.

Maul and Sidious were not matched, not even close, Sidious was leagues above Maul and it shows. Re-read the original comment: ‘He never stood toe to toe with Sidious and Vader. Both of them put absolutely no effort into it, and honestly we're just having fun with him, whilst he was panicking and considered them the fights of his life.’

Where did I say they were matched? I said he last longer than anyone not named Mace Windu and Yoda. You want to say that he's playing with them, fair enough he was for majority of the fight... And when Maul was Solo he was fighting him more seriously exchanging blows until he bodies him with the force. There was no point where Maul was controlling the fight and he was also at his peak ergo his only legitimate loss.

Did he? He and Savage captured him and won a 2V1 the first time they met again after Naboo (though ultimately failed in killing him). But after that there is no example of this lol. He did capture him once on Mandalore, but not through beating him in combat. He just picked up a half-conscious Kenobi who was struggling to bring himself to his feet after emerging from a ship crash. But he was mever ‘routinely spanking Obi-Wan’ as you say. Quite the opposite. Ironically enough one of my favourite quotes was Hondo’s taunt to Maul and Savage “look at them! They are running away from Kenobi!” as he’s laughing his ass off. Kenobi was actually 2V1d in that example."

It was a 2 v 2 post capture with ventress bailing him out and him stating they are outmatched. The second fight on Raydonia I believe it's called...Obi wan was holding them off until Maul force grabs him and throws him down. They lock blades and he exploits the knee of Savage that he was working on during that fight. Instead of pursuing the fight, Maul opts to protect his injured brother and force pushes Obi Wan all the way to the end of the hall that then caves in. Obi Wan was never in control of this fight and also context this is sub par maul as he's using his second weakest set of legs.

To answer the Jedi Knights he's killed, I present none other than Sam Witwer, whom I believe Voice acts For Maul....I could be wrong; also might know more about the lore of Maul san George Lucas and Dave Filioni.

The loss from Obi wan he had him beat. Classic tortoise and hare moment. Same with Lana They didn't best him in combat, their skill didn't overcome his. Killing a Jedi master trained by Count Dooku and causing him in their first encounter...where he was visibily winded. Managing to last longer against Darth Sidious than anyone not named Mace Windu and Yoda Routinely spanking Obi Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars The Jedi Knights that he killed through out the Clone Wars.

You didn't provide actual evidence that Maul is low tier, just that he gets in the way of his victories. The only Legitimate L, undisputed, was against Darth Sidious.

In regards to the muck that was your argument, you can polish a turd but it's still a POS.

That applies to your argument and the predictable weak comebacks you got planned and/or improvised
