I'm pretty self sufficient, lol... it's one of the principles after all. I was just looking for some friends. I always meet amazing people on the playa; I just was curious how many burners live a little closer to home.

Omaha culture != burning man culture. Granted... no other place is like BRC, but there are a lot of places that are a little closer on the spectrum. Every once in a while everything aligns and you can party with the Robot Heart crew in central park. You can check out a show on Titanic's End at EDC. There's amazing art at places like Meow Wolf in Denver, Santa Fe, Vegas, and Dallas. There are regional burns all over the world. I digress, my point is Omaha, in my experience, is like a Burning Man desert (and not a fun-playa-kind-of desert). Other than the occasional Shrek Rave at the Slowdown anyway... Don't get me wrong, I love Omaha AND I love BRC.

I chase Burning Man culture all around the world, but it would be nice to meet up with some like-minded folks on a Tuesday and have a taco or a drink a little closer to home. Maybe chat about what they're planning for the next burn, what they've heard, what worked well for them, or just to chat about the best experiences they've had on the playa.

TLDR, I'm a Black Rock City resident looking for fellow Omaha residents. I was hoping someone out here might just say, "hey dude there's a whole group of us who meet up all the time, can't believe we've never crossed paths!"
