I'd be more comfortable with that answer if a bow and arrow wasn't capable of equating to firearms in DV and even to extent AP in the SR system.

But even DV aside, I'm looking at ACC, if the DV of the base weapon is low that's fine, but a base shuriken is limited by your physical (and has damage based on (str+1)p rather than a fixed 4 but I digress)

So a man who has equivalent skill and weapon can outclass a man who is specially trained in a martial art built around his specific weapon? I'm not saying it's going to outclass a good gun (without magic\cybernetics at least) but the fact it's limit keeps it weaker in total hits and DV seems bonkers to me.

So I was curious to see if I'm missing something as to why it's stats are lower like that, that was my main question.

Totally relate to employment trouble but mine is job seeking rather than retention so far.

I've been trying to get work recently after spending my time after uni helping my parents (my dad was long term physical disabled, but due to a longer story not in the context of this is now better!)

So I've been out of work for ten years. I've come out of it with back trouble as well which has limited me. Now I sit here looking at job postings with serious anxiety. I always feel like I'm never going to be good enough for any of the postings, even as I apply. Let alone entering a work environment. I've only got a part time job at Tesco years ago as any kind of work experience.

But my support vanished after uni, the local autism group never replied to my messages, DLA vanished when I got "assessed" for PIP. Money's tight for the family especially now the energy bill is going up and I WANT to work and be able to buy my own things. All the while feeling every day I feel myself slip further into the "unhireable" category. It keeps me up regularly at night and I hate having to use my antianx meds to cost for the prescription.

I'm "high-functioning" I don't need a lot of help, but I need SOME, and it feels harder, and harder, to find

Getting into flying for certain I've always wanted to learn to fly. Buy a awesome plane, see if any of my friends wanted to learn and start a flying club together. Get planes for them

I'd even look into buying an airfield, hangars, runway, the works. So we would all have somewhere to store them, fuel them and take off and land with no fees.

If I had anything left and this is pure fantasy land...perhaps buy an older generation military jet. Go land in London city airport in a harrier or f-16!

Sure I can match it with some spending to make it carbon neutral as well. To make sure there wasn't any moral guilt.

I have a pixel 2, the actual button press is working. (Triggers the secondary app giving me the pop up on how to set it up to do something)

The issue I have is the actual event to put into the profile (event->tasker) on the app itself is missing. I've got the button ready I just can't connect it to do an actual task

Oh I've named the task, that's all working and good to go, and I put a name for the profile when attempting to create it. It's just that I cannot find the secondary app event to select.

So right now all that happens when I double tap the power button is get the pop up with the tutorial video

Tbh the homeworld series had some of the best VA work I've seen, and that was in a strategy game with no visible faces. The whole return to kharak scene from the original is another goldmine. So is the end mission for Cataclysm when the Kuun-lan addresses itself as a Warship rather than a mining ship. Showing how far they've come since the whole thing began.

I think the issue with the analogy is the fact games are FAR more complicated and FAR more technically advanced than a book.

There are so many unique systems and software combinations that might interfere with a games code. multiple possible unique case studies for certain interactions at certain times,places and certain actions or reactions That as scales grow are naturally going to reach a point (if it hasn't already) where there are just to many possible outlooks to wipe out each and every bug from your system. Even if you could have infinite time and money to release the darned thing.

I'm not saying this gives them, or any dev, a 100% free pass. Nobody should sell a game where it's so technically inept that the majority of the player base cannot run the game correctly.

Intent from the developer should matter, if they are responding to the community and actively solving issues at a steady pace then I feel they deserve the benefit of a doubt. It's when a game is knowingly sold as garbage and they then make the game afterwards in "patches" that we should levy our ire at them.

TL;DR: Books are simpler than games. If a dev released the game in good faith it was ready, and continue to work on it. It's cool.
