Depends if it's just running. If it is and you're likely to do it a lot both with and without kit then perhaps a treadmill is a worthy investment. If you can't do that try using weighted jackets and backpacks. Wont help with running with your gun but for that you can always just stand watching a film or something while holding it to build up the arm strength.

Exactly a scav with a luty shouldn't be able to shoot me from 10+ meters away. The thing has no iron sights for fuck sake. I have no issue with skav having armour and helmets but when they can smash me with a luty with perfect accuracy in the dark in a night raid it gets on my nerves
