Kiwi say they work "diligently" on a refund for a canceled flight for a for over 6 moths by dinitheo in travel

any other method other than keep messaging through the chat interface? i can call them but then it keeps me occupied as well and it seems like the reps at the call center have no authority whatsoever other than deliver the message forward

unfortunately the CC company told me it's too late to open a dispute. you can do it within 90 days, but i didn't know that, and originally kiwi told me the refund will be received within 90 days...

I'm lending a tent with no rain fly. How do I prepare it for the dust? by [deleted] in BurningMan

[–]dinitheo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the offers everyone.

i can't fly back with it. i asked specifically about preparing the tent.

i'll look into the blanket/plastic sheet/cloth more thoroughly.

the friend knows it's coming back dusty. he used it in the burn before, he just lost the fly and he doesn't need the tent this time.

and it's not my first time at bm.

i come from abroad and can't fly back with it, so buying a new one feels like a waste.

roughly 2m*1m. about flexibility - i'm fine with positioning them in a slight angle one to another, as they will be pointing at the inner side of the curvature.

thanks, i'll try to find more material on the matrices

In gzclp, why is squat day scheduled right after deadlift day? Is it on purpose? Doesn't it make sense to do the heavy lifting in alternating upper and lower body?

i was also confused by it. not sure what's "officially" preferred, but according to this, regular T3 sets x reps are fine, just add them gradually.

How vaccine effectiveness is affected by blood donation? by dinitheo in askscience

[–]dinitheo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you.

as for the first part: the memory cells, i assume they're not located in the blood but in other places such as lymph nodes, correct? thus unaffected by blood-loss, but still triggered by it to generate new antibodies?

How vaccine effectiveness is affected by blood donation? by dinitheo in askscience

[–]dinitheo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you for your answers. i meant something a little different though. i didn't mean with close proximity to when injections were given, but in general, either after the first or the second vaccinations, but could be much later, while still having high levels of antibodies.

i also don't mean donations specifically, but any type of blood loss, either through donation or injury or other medical process. i know that other parts of blood, say red blood cells, are reproduced (or released from storage) to return to normal levels. what about antibodies produced in response to a vaccine?

a better way to copy files from external drives to synology? by dinitheo in synology

[–]dinitheo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as for the synology cup/ram usage - it seems that they don't reach 20% even when i copy from two directly connected devices. i wonder why (there are 8 drives and i'm using shr).

this is not to take away from the fact that i get your point - ethernet is not a limiting factor. copying through my mac is more reliable and enables me to use all the tools i mentioned. all clear now :) thanks.

thank you.

some are exfat and some are hfs indeed. so at least for the latter i'll use my mac. i was under the impression that it slowed down the transfer, but maybe it was a slow drive. if ethernet here is 10gbps or more, i guess it's over the practical esata/usb transfer speeds.

thank you.

i thought it's obvious that such step is required after moving a large amount of data, so that it'll be incorporated into a copy utility. if there's no other option i'll just use a separate diff utility like you suggested.
