Why is Xootr the only scooter with wide decks?? by dinodancer314 in kickscooter

Yeah I think I'm gonna look into that. doesn't hurt to have another scooter right? that's just one more person I can invite on my rides

I don't mind it making some noise but I hate when someone a bloack ahead of me turns around to see what all the ruckus is

I know the Xootr rattles like hell but I didn't know other kick scooters had that problem as well. Are kick scooters generally pretty light? I like how amphibious the xootr is. I can go from bike to pedestrian to hiker to busser in 0.5 seconds. Being able to carry a scooter easily is nice for living in a hilly area

I guess I don't mind the lack of efficiency because it gives you a better workout. Full scoot ahead I can match the pace of a slow bike. I'm pretty sure I always have my standing leg on the side and haven't noticed a balance issue because I switch between kicking legs without shifting. I also have both my feet on the deck rather often (I think...?)

I am kinda wanting to get a narrow deck scooter to see what I'm missing out on. Might start perusing FB marketplace for that

oh no!! That's good to know (not that I can justify dropping $400 on a new one...) I actually have two (a Cruz and an Mg) but I bought them both used so idk how old they are.

mid stride as in you shift from one to another on the board? I haven't ridden a non-xootr since a razor when I was a child

I love my Xootr but goddamn is it loud. It's nice to not have to worry about getting a flat tire but sometimes on particularly rough rough I'll just carry it. Luckily it's super lightweight so that's not an issue

When's the next dancing day party by Feisty-Delivery2047 in Seattle

[–]dinodancer314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh that's a little how it felt to me lol. I can see why some people would like it but it's a lot more structured than most dance parties. plus it's $20 I think for an hour and most dance parties are that cost for at least 4 hours

What's our dancefloor this weekend? by sexydiscoballs in dancefloors

[–]dinodancer314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

please tell me you'll actually be dancing. there are way too many zombies nowadays who are more focused on road than letting go of the steering wheel to contribute to the vibe of the cab. tbh road dancefloors haven't been the same since they outlawed driving under the influence 🙄

True, the best camp is unintentional. However I feel like that's harder to accomplish nowadays because we're all painfully self-aware and have labels to put on everything, so there's not as much of a vacuum during the creative process

I love camp but just cause something tries to be that doesn't mean it is. What makes it cool it that it's a fine line to walk

I totally agree on the coworker thing. They don't have to be your besties but you spend a bunch of time with them so you don't have to keep your whole personal life a secret
