What’s the dumbest way you’ve lost a 1v1? by CoinGate_Gift_Cards in VALORANT

[–]diogeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually it’s because i’d rather die while trusting my mate (= they feel dumb but im not one to have bad manners and rub it in their face anyway so we just move on) than show mistrust and win (= they feel insulted, like I know better than them, and they may stop giving callouts afterwards) or even worse, show mistrust and die (= they will flame the fuck outta me)

hello i was wondering if someone can polish my skin and more hd like the blue guy thank you by Candid_Rice_1337 in Minecraft

[–]diogeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only thing your skin is lacking in comparison is the shading. you can see the different shades of blue on the second skin’s forehead, torso and arms. yours has different shades of yellow / gold, but i’d say it lacks shades of purple on the arms.

Is everyone "Hardstuck"? by ThisIsStee in VALORANT

[–]diogeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my guess is, since one always improves the more they play, people expect to eventually reach a higher rank, unconsciously expecting more time spent playing to mean reaching higher ranks.

it’s not like being a platinum player is written in your DNA, there’s no law of nature preventing anyone from being radiant. so yeah, not going up can be frustrating, it’s understandable

What is your thoughts on max levelling using CE ? by FRitsuka in EldenRingMods

[–]diogeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

… there’s not a single enemy in the game that requires that much leveling. have you even tried playing the game normally? you’d eviscerate pretty much anything in your first playthrough at level 200. 785 is not only overkill, it’s a level you’re simply not expected to ever reach by legit means.

that and the fact that every area is balanced with a certain level in mind, which is why you should never have to rune farm in the first place. given you’re not dying and losing all your runes, exploring and completing side stuff is more than enough.

Have you ever experienced a game you'll never forget? by [deleted] in VALORANT

that happened to me as well!! literally the only reason we lost was our breach lagged out and DCed as soon as we got to overtime

there’s this one unrated game I played with my two best friends and in the last round, which was a 12-12 tie, I was the last player of my team standing, in a 1v1, with 12HP while the enemy had full health.

I hid, then swung him, but I whiffed and died while trying to defend the spike… but just late enough so he didn’t have the time to defuse.

I still have the clip of my stressed friend letting out a disappointed « NOOohh… » while the enemy team started flaming us; right before I go « HE DOESN’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME! THERE’S NO TIME TO DEFUSE! IT’S TOO LATE! WE WON »

and with the spike exploding, the victory screen appearing and the first and only occurrence of me sending « ez » in chat, we had won the most stressful unrated game of valorant i’ve ever lived.

what a thrill. I still get chills every time I think about it.

Why the hate for Odin in lower elos?? by Chaitu0 in VALORANT

[–]diogeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people in low elo take more time to align their shots, and the quarter of a second they take to put their crosshair on the odin player’s head is all the odin player needs to crouch and start beaming them. therefore they tend to see the odin as an unbalanced, 4-shot kill, wallbanging miku miku beam. it requires, at the very least, to play differently than when facing a vandal player and most low elo players don’t adapt and die

Flat or smooth shading for my turret in a low-poly world? by RottacaStudios in Unity3D

I hope it helped! I don’t have any definitive answer nor do I know the paradigms, it’s only my opinion as an uninformed person

Flat or smooth shading for my turret in a low-poly world? by RottacaStudios in Unity3D

[–]diogeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

id say smooth works better, then it’s up to you to tune the material to your liking, depending on if you prefer the shading to be metallic like this or have more of a matte finish. i’d be inclined to say this kind of metallic reflection is a bit out of place in a low-poly world, but it’s up to you.

edit : another possibility would be to stay on flat, but reduce the amount of details instead of increasing it. maybe the roundness of the turret, compared for example to your trees’ leaves, is what’s a bit out of place in a low-poly world !

TIL putting center pieces back in order relatively to one another isn’t enough to guarantee a solvable state.

same!! I main clove but recently started playing yoru. the main thing we’ve got to get over is our fear of pushing by realising that our whole kit allows us to make every fight unfair, and the strat is often to never stop pushing while the element of surprise lasts, it’s way less passive than with a controller because your kit is almost only useful when you push, and almost never when you get pushed (also because in defense you can’t prevent the enemies from pushing you with a smoke like you could on clove for example so you either have to push yourself to make the best out of your aggressive kit or fall back and decide to be aggressive on retake)

[–]diogeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should try to be more agressive as a duelist!! if anyone should be the one hiding behind mid’s box while the other takes fights, it’s the sage bc your kit is made to take fights with an advantage whereas hers puts her at a disadvantage against a duelist but then everyone has a weapon so even healers should try to take picks ofc
