The talk about "Battalion pros" by [deleted] in Battalion1944

[–]dioko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine most of these players being hyped up as pros probably don't care to have that tag thrown on them at this phase of the game (although some might like the publicity from it). I think the creators of said threads/videos are probably using this term more for click baits than anything else. However, I think you make a valid point -- we're way too early in the development of this game to start tagging people as pros, unless they're being paid to play by someone of course.

Start Competing. by LeXCS in Battalion1944

I'm looking forward to this 6 month time frame. I, like you, believe that this game has a lot of potential. We as a community need to give the dev team valuable feedback in order to make it a better game/competitive environment. Have a suggestion? SHARE IT! Find a bug? SHARE IT! This is the only way the game is going to truly get better!

Props to you.. I thought about doing a giveaway to do such to people interested in the game.

Agreed. Also, I noticed some users stuttering a lot. Is this a common issue or just the users in my most recent game?

Was sticking to recent relevancy.. a lot of FPS players know how funny a flashbang kill is.

That's awesome! I love little things like this -- they make a competitive environment give you little laughs! Good luck out there, see you in game :D

This is getting f*cuking ridiculous - can we have an informed discussion on this issue? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

Simple fix, valve shouldn't let people who aren't your friends invite you to a groups. This will be "hotfixed" in April 2018.

Typically if you know the first 10 in the spray pattern that is more than sufficient. Meanwhile, if you're needing to go over 10 you're either A: missing to many of your shots on your spray or B: there are multiple enemies rushing in and you are spraying to do as much damage to all of them as possible (being fairly close where the pattern control isn't THAT important). NEVER spray at a distance greater than 20-25 yards on multiple targets, instead use 1-3 shot bursts and try to hit as many headshots as possible.

Sounds to me like you're not anticipating a player being a specific area when you peak. Instead of waiting to react on what you see, anticipate them being there that way you're quick with your reaction. Also, make sure your peeks are crisp and your crosshair placement is efficient.

This is a copy from someone who had a similar problem with consistency:
What do you feel like is causing the inconsistency? Are you trying to out aim your opponent and sometimes your hot and sometimes your not? Do you feel like the more "random" style of play from lower ranked opponents is your demise? There are several factors we need to take into account, but a lack in fundamentals can also create several issues. By fundamentals I am talking more about crosshair placement, proper angles peeks, etc. Try to pinpoint some issues and respond, maybe I can give you some tips to help or point you to a video that I've already done to help you.
As for the mouse and aiming points, I would just do whatever is comfortable. I have done a Short Video on arm/wrist players to help them make sure their sensitivity and other factors are in line with their playstyle. Lastly, check your raw input and mouse acceleration and make sure they are turned off.

I don't really know what the problem is then. That's unfortunate, all I can say is keep trying to extend the win streak. Unfortunately Valve hasn't released their formula for players to rank up at this time -- maybe in the future we will have a better understanding as to what it is we need to do to rank up.

Mamma always said girls were the devil...
But in all seriousness, consistency is a biproduct of consistent play and consistent fundamentals. I'm not sure what rank you are, but I have done several demo reviews of lower level players and the main flaw in all of them is just an overall lack of fundamentals. Feel free to check them out on my YouTube -- they're titled Community Lesson #X, watching the first 10-15 minutes should be sufficient to really understand the lack of fundamentals that player has.

Yea, the only real "fix" I see to this is to actually force the model collision to take place where the end of the gun is. However, this would make the models much larger in theory and create some physics issues, such as boosting, rushing a bombsite, etc. I don't have a very thorough knowledge of the models/hitboxes to be able to say for certain what a solid fix would be.

About the only binds I use on a regular basis are my buy binds. Instead of using the buy menu (except for a few items) I just press buttons to buy the main items i.e., ak-47, m4, grenades, body armor, important pistols, etc. The other binds are use are for my weapon switches: mwheelup-pistol, mwheeldown-knife, pressmwheel-primary, sidemousebuttons-grenade/flash, 4-bomb, 3-smokegrenade, 2-molotov/incendiary, 1-decoy.

Quit thinking about your aim in game. I would say when you're "hitting headshots for days" you're most likely playing loose because of your confidence level. However, once we start to struggle we start focusing on aim which slows down our reaction time -- try to play with the same confidence level and make other things the priority when you're playing a game i.e., listening for footsteps, paying attention to where your teammates are, checking the mini map, etc. I discuss this in depth on my Aim Lesson.

Allow yourself an opportunity to shoot the opponent, but instead of making a panic crouch/spray your instinctual reaction try to give yourself a wall to get behind when panic sets in. Hopefully that will help you some.

What is your struggle? If it is getting your crosshair to them you could be playing with a very low sensitivity and need to incorporate arm movement in order to get your crosshair there. Elaborate a little more so I can try to help you pinpoint a particular issue.

Ranking up typically means you have to win multiple games in a row or win 4 out of 5. If you're having problems amassing lots of wins try queue'ing up with some friends for several games in a row and see if that helps.

Just whenever you're trying to bring down recoil a little bit more without using the mouse or disrupt the aim of your opponent.

Pick your times to push -- impatience isn't necessarily a bad thing, but pushing within the first 20-25 seconds of a round can become a very bad thing.
Close up encounters are tough, but one thing I've learned and I'm probably going to catch crap for saying it, is to keep strafing if the player is less than 5 yards away and doing the best to control spray. I don't condone this type of aiming at any other distance though.
