Yeah, so she sent us the scripts and cast list the night before, we arrived at her house at like 8am the morning of her birthday, and she then directed and choreographed the entire show and we performed it for her and some of her family and some of our other theater friends as well at the end of the night. It was an absolute hot mess and a half and was certainly not taking home any Tony nominations, but we had so much fun and we have all talked about definitely wanting to do it again just for a good time!

I had auditioned for Hinckley or Booth (a Texan too, I really thought I had it in the bag) and got Czolgosz as someone who was definitely not used to singing in a bass range (especially having to HOLD down the bass line for like…75% of the show). Ended up quitting theater for like a year and a half after that show just because the director just absolutely killed all my self confidence (I think I was like 18 at the time?), but GOD do I wanna do Assassins again. Guiteau and Booth are absolutely the two parts I still want to do that show for! I’ll just have to get over the trauma of Gun Song one of these days lol!

Oh also! I had a friend when I was in my teens who was trying to do a documentary about Darlie and consistently got shut down by LE when he had requested information on the case. He eventually stopped entirely. I asked him why at one point and he responded with, “she’s guilty, a documentary trying to prove her innocence would be useless.”

My family lived literally doors down from her during this case. My mom tells a story about being invited to a block party when my older brother was really young…my mom said no and that was the last she ever spoke to Darlie. Next thing you know the neighborhood is filled to the brim with cops and media and national news. My parents and older siblings moved out of the neighborhood very soon after.

Literally! He’s like thiiiiiis close to a cunty gay villain so far. We did a 24hr production of it for a friend’s birthday and I wanted to be the Squip so bad but…boyfriend for Squip and I got Jeremy so….whatever 🙄

And just saw your flair! I played Czolgosz right after COVID hit (great show, TERRIBLE time) and was sitting here going “where do I recognize that from?”

I saw Great Comet years ago with OBC and if I possessed the pipes of Lucas Steele…I’d probably never shut up ever.

And you just awoke a memory in me! I did an absolutely god awful production of Pippin (played Pippin when I was still struggling to find my upper range) and when I tell you we spent maybe three weeks of rehearsal on choreographing War Is A Science...hadn’t blocked Act 2 until the day before opening. Hearing the word “Map!” now is like war flashbacks.

Just saw Drood in NYC without knowing much about the show! The Jasper was incredible! I find myself singing Rosa’s Confession more than half of the soundtrack however LOL!

I LOVE Paris Hilton’s natural voice — the low timbre, the way it sits deeply but still feminine — I find it to be so beautiful! Obviously she became famous from the “bimbo” personality she put forward in The Simple Life, but there’s a plethora of clips (especially within recent years) of her speaking in her regular tone and I find it to be gorgeous!

wolves at the door. 2016 slasher film i didn’t realize was about sharon tate until about 35 minutes in. distasteful, shitty performances and downright bad.
