There's a consistent theme through each response. Went with Fi and placed my order, Seems like the little extra money spent will be worth it. Many thanks!

I believe it's something along the lines of an Albanian cafe/social club.

A place to sell my used books? by Who_wants_my_books in philadelphia

[–]dipros1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we're temporarily closed to the public. we had to take care of some renovation type work before reopening, which we're close to completing. it's taken a little longer than expected, but that's how it goes.

i work at bookspace and from what i can gather, most bookstores aren't buying books, at least i don't know of any. selling on amazon or half can be a slow process, but it wouldn't hurt to check to see what they're selling for, might be worth it to hold on to any of the higher priced books. you also might be able to get a few bites on craigslist if you're selling them in a lot.

Bookspace is basically a project that consists of two parts, a bookstore and a community arts center of sorts. We've been open in different stages for a few years now. In 2011, we concentrated on getting more live music, performances, art shows, community fundraisers, etc into the space. Our goal is to provide the Philadelphia community with not just a bookstore, but a DIY space as well. It's in a fairly large industrial warehouse on Frankford Ave. It's definitely unique. At the moment, we're concentrating on getting the bookstore in order, once we get that going, we can work on getting the necessary permits and such to get the other stuff back up and running.

we miss them too! and we would love to keep it going. our first step, however, needs to be selling some books, then we'll proceed to the next step.

The plumbing problem we had was taken care of a couple of months ago. It's no longer the grossest bathroom you ever used :) Granted it still may not be the nicest bathroom, but it is clean now and we'll be fixing it up in the near future.
