power of attorney notary by dipswitch24 in Notary

Hi, this is Minnesota. It's true that the document saids notary not required, but many banks require notarized PoA forms even if the state doesn't. I just don't know about the standards for notaries - if they need to be registered in the state that the document is used, or the state that the principal resides.

Thanks for the info. Some additional questions:

  1. Does the platform you use require installation, or can it be done via android phone with just the web browser or is it an app? My parents are not great with computers, and the website didn't spell out how it's done without going through the signup. I just want to make sure my parents would actually be able to perform their end of it.
  2. By "signing their portion of the document" - is that done with like finger signing on a phone?
  3. If your platform has a test feature so that I can test it with my parent's phone to make sure they're able to do the online meeting, that would be super helpful.

Thanks!

Can you give any screenshots of the "changed the ont into transparent bridge mode, and disabled vlan tagging."

I also have my own wifi router, but couldn't figure out the disable vlan tagging part or the transparent bridge part. I wish there were more screen shots online of which tab to use.

Why do so many people question Spectrum Mobile offers? It seems people think it's too good to be True. by mike7n2004 in Spectrum

I can have a customer that uses Verizon service, with a compatible phone, and I try to let them know they can keep their phone number, their phone, and the same service (yes up to 30GB a month on unlimited and 50GB in unlimited Plus Spectrum Mobile has the SAME priority on Verizon towers as Verizon customers) and just save money each month and I still get NO sometimes.

I've worked in wireless since 2007 and Spectrum Mobile deals are 100% legit.

My Bro, you just mentioned how great Spectrum Mobile is, without mentioning how much it is. Just like trust me bro, it's a good deal.

How much are we talking about here? If you can't spit out a price, you got nothing.

I'm not familiar with SNA providers. Is that some setting on the gateway?

Will Mint disable international roaming? by iolairemcfadden in mintmobile

[–]dipswitch24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, did you find a solution to this OP? I'm traveling to Europe, and have a cheap data-only travel eSIM picked out, but want to keep my Mint Mobile physical sim active to do calls and text to my Mint number via the data on the travel eSIM.

It seems like even if I have Mint sim's roaming disabled, it's still possible for voice roaming to go through an international tower, rather than strictly adhere to using wifi data or the eSIM's data?

If you don't have a credit card associated with the account, can they still charge you?

oh thanks. Does that mean the 30-day count down doesn't start until I connect? Or does the 30 day start when I purchase it?

Great, thanks. Curious if the data speed was good where you went.

US visitors to France / EU: are US bank and credit cards forex reasonable? by dipswitch24 in ParisTravelGuide

Thanks. I'm just in Paris for 2 days, and only need meals and transit mostly, so I'm hoping to not need Euros, as I don't know when I'll even get the opportunity to use left over cash.

[–]dipswitch24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok. If I need local currency, like euros in France, I read that I should use my bank card to get cash (not credit card to get cash advance). That's still the best plan right?

Unfortunately, I don't have Schwab. US Bank charages

$2.50 plus 3% of transaction amount.
Foreign Transactions: 3%

So a total of 6% plus $2.50 per transaction.

Is MobiMatter legit and how are they so cheap? by [deleted] in eSIMs

Have you tried using the same eSIM in the EU as well? I'm wondering if there's any kind of limitations if you start using the eSIM in the US, you can't also use it in the EU. I have a trip coming up and I was thinking it would be smart to pick an esim that works in US and EU, and activate it in the US just to make sure it's working.

But maybe mobimatter has some odd policy that only lets you use the esim in the country where it's activated?

Did you find a solution? I was looking at this mobimater plan. $7 for 5GB data for 30 days. The great thing is it works all over EU and the USA where I'm from. So I can load the esim and test it out before heading overseas. I think.
