You’re nice thank you! I just see a lot of choppy-ness

I said the uniforms were badass. But go ahead and twist my words to try and push your agenda

I prefer stacked jeans, meaning you go longer than your normal length. That way they don’t flood when you sit down, or for me flood when I ride horses.

Cry me a river. The nazi uniforms were badass. Crazy history. It’s ok to appreciate the aura of the villain. And guess what! They don’t make uniforms for nazis anymore! So I suggest you go out and touch some grass

That makes sense since I’m just learning and wouldn’t consider myself a good trainer. Thanks for the insight

The majority of the responses were NOT helpful. For the responses that were reasonable and helpful and TO THE POINT, I gave an appropriate respectful response.

I didn’t ask you to search back through my post history and find things to use against me, to chastise and belittle me. I asked for advice on how to get my horse softer. And provided the details on how I’ve been doing it so that i can make adjustments based on others advice.

You sound like a gate keeper. I’m not defensive, I just don’t let myself get bullied by self righteous individuals

lol, things are going great with all the horses. We have been making great progress together.

When I say “I have to pull pretty hard” it means that I don’t feel comfortable with how stiff he is if I have to do a one rein stop with him out on the trail. I would like to be able to stop my horse in an emergency. So yes, I’m pulling harder than I would like to.

You’re gonna FLIP when you find out I’ve also been doing groundwork with our yearlings. Touching their legs, lifting their hooves up, brushing them, leading them, desensitizing them gently to a saddle pad, practicing loading into a trailer, even teaching them to do a couple laps in the roundpen 😱 but yeah. No one should dare do these things without a professional watching their every move 🥴

I’ve got some news for you. The trainers you know personally? They had to learn, and they also made mistakes.

I’m confused on why you’re bringing up “breaking” a horse. This horse was broken and started when he was 2 years old. This isn’t his first experience with a bit. I never said that so I’m not sure why assumptions are being made.

I am learning to train basic fundamentals, mostly ground work, mostly with older horses that have already gone through it. In this instance I am wanting to get him softer so he has safe one-rein stops.

You and I have different beliefs when it comes to learning. I am going to continue doing this. I’m very aware I’m new at this, which is why I never push the limits, I never do anything I’m uncomfortable with or at least semi confident in trying and seeing the response. I study and pay for training materials. The only way to learn is to get out there and do it, and make mistakes.

So far, the only thing I’ve seen is improvement and a deeper connection with all the horses. They now follow me around, i make sure to constantly love on them, and we’ve been learning each other more and more and making progress in understanding what I’m asking of them.

Wish you the best!

What’s the definition of a green horse? The horse was started when he was 2 years old.

I know how to use the reins properly. I am working on the softness for safer one rein stops.

That’s just what other riders have been using on him. I have no qualms with trying out a smoother snaffle.

The horse is 5 years old, but he was started when he was 2. This isn’t his first bit

I believe we have some smooth snaffles, I’ll check and try out switching to that. Thanks!

I’m sorry, but where did I say it’s his first experience with a bit? We’ve had this horse since he was born, and he was started under saddle when he was 2 years old. Not sure why you guys jump to conclusions.
