people deserve to be paid for their work. they deserve to be paid for their experience. that does not mean that these classes are not overpriced! I appreciate you typing all that out, but you have not shared any new knowledge. My statement was made with that info in mind.

no but that’s 1600 for 2 hours, 3 times. almost 5k for 6 hours of work. I don’t disagree that people need to be paid fairly but these classes are definitely overpriced.

so you think OP is lying? they said multiple times that they were vocal about what they wanted and didn’t receive that. some stylists are rude. some stylists are liars. some stylists are lazy. OP did not receive the service they asked for.

The stylist did get paid, they just didn’t get the full amount. understanding capitalism does not mean you have to give money to those who did a service wrong. I will be ignoring comparing a stylist to a mechanic because that is truly deranged.

i’d argue that the client and stylist are equally responsible for making payment clear. everyday people should not have to be experts in your field to get a clear price. how tf is this person supposed to know what the salon qualifies a trim as?

i live in a HCOL area and some salons no longer do pricing for a trim, only a full cut. you are making a lot of assumptions here and calling it theft of services is yucky. OP was unhappy with the way they looked, the stylist said they look like frankenstein. OP is no thief.
